Can’t it be both? Good WRs getting good coaching and an offense that when done correctly with a qb that can make quick reads and has a good chemistry with his receivers can create more potential for wide receivers to get open? I don’t get why it has to be either or, just because the NFL doesn’t do it that way (even though we’re seeing more and more college-derived concepts in the nfl these days).

I think it’s all simply about protecting the NFL marketing brand and the jobs of people who don’t want to revolutionize. Long live the NFL brotherhood amiright?

I still don’t think it was clock mismanagement. I think it was intentionally burning time making sure msu never got the ball back. Playing not to lose, thinking maybe field goal chance but accepting overtime versus giving their offense any kind of possession. We need to play to win from here on out and stop the mindset of just trying not to lose. I like heup. But he meant to “waste” clock in my opinion and I do not like that mindset.

He’s not just your average Joe(y). I’ll see myself out.

Jk but he’s unreal. His mentals are off the charts and he plays smart but also isn’t afraid to take some shots and push the ball down the field.
The first few games I thought he was pulling a Gaston Moore and saying f it, then launching the ball downfield as far as he can. Now I realize it's just how he throws. He puts a ton off air under it, not sure how he is as accurate as he is with how high he throws it.

I think both are true, bad clock mangement and playing not to lose.

Since that Bama game in 2023, he has been super conservative. Hopefully he can revert back to being aggressive at times bc we have the offense to do it this year.

Does anyone actually play for OT on the road?

He 100% wanted to run the clock down some. But not as much as he did. Trying to leave MSU with 0 seconds or 10 seconds or whatever is too much of a balancing act. Just run your offense and try to score.

What a racket. Sign an extension, do worse, and get paid out more and quicker.
The board had to sign off on the extension. Fans are blaming it on the outgoing interim president which is what they want. But everyone had to be on board with extending Stricklin and allowing him to hire the next football coach seemingly.
