Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

If Arkansas is paying the Pittman buyout, and the newly fire assistant coaches' buyouts, I don't think Arkansas is going to give Petrino money to hire a staff from the outside. That is unless they really are going to make him head coach.

Either way, UT is better than Arkansas. It's in Neyland. It's a revenge game. This isn't Petrino at Arkansas 15 years ago or at Louisville with Lamar. UT wins convincingly.

Do we not think we are a better team than ND? Did they not just dog walk arky ? Are we or are we not better than a team who has two losses on the year

I think there is something to be said for apathy setting in after losing how they did against Memphis. Cleaning house can be a powerful motivator, and I don’t think Arkansas is as bad as Notre Dame made them look. This is the same Arkansas team that had a real shot at upsetting Ole Miss on the road a few weeks ago.

Do we really think they’re 43 points worse than Notre Dame? I just think the players gave up on Pittman after another close loss. I still expect us to win in two weeks, but I don’t think we’ll get the same beaten down Arkansas team.

Good points. And maybe they needed this? But it sure seems like they are sitting in a “worst case scenario” moment as a program rn

Need to jump out to a quick 14-0 lead and make them start doubting the new defensive staff and get another "here we go again" feeling.

I don’t disagree. I think this could end up being a beautiful disaster for them the rest of the season, things are on a knife’s edge right now. I just don’t want to discount that this is a team with a lot of talent that almost (likely should have) beaten the #4 team just 3 weeks ago and has a QB 2nd in the conference in passing yards.

I think we should win the game by 2-3 scores if we’re as good as I think we are. But as the saying goes “things are never as good as it seems or as bad as it seems” and for Arkansas I think this is true. I don’t think they’re going to lose by 43 points again this season lol.

I think we could do it, of anyone else on their schedule tbh

But good points all around
