He was balancing opportunity with risk. 2nd and 9 with 1:15 left and call a TO...he didn't want to punt it back with 55 seconds left.

My perception while watching live, I agreed with his draining. Have to execute the last play or 2 of the drive better though.

I liked how he drained it early in the possession and agreed it was the right call. My complaint was the last 15-20 seconds where he had 2 timeouts and kept them in his pocket. Easily should’ve gotten 2 more plays to get in field goal range. I’m pretty sure Heupel will agree he botched the last 15-20 seconds. I love Heupel but he’s struggled with that in some late game situations.

We can identify talent in the portal. If they don't click year 1, year 2 is a breakout. Brazzel has been fantastic. The extra 70 yards and a TD would help for end of the year awards.
