I hear you. Bike lanes alone won't fix decades of poor urban design...It takes a systemic approach and often politicians would rather take 'the easy approach' to add more lanes (ergo causing induced demand) than fix things via complex methods that require long time which don't reap immediate re-election benefits.
Anyhow, I saw a neat video about the Nashville cluster w/ 40, 65, & 24.
It was frustrating but still fun back in the '00s and '10s driving east or westbound through Nashville & having to bob & weave from one side of the road to the other to stay on 40. I moved away and can't imagine doing that regularly now with the massive population growth. The last few times I've been through Nashville have rivaled Atlanta.
Guy that lives down the road from me is worth north of 8 figures. He earned it all solo along side his wife. Saw him at the sandbar the other day and had a long conversation and he said above all his relationship with God, his wife and his health mean more to him than anything professional or financially.

You’re missing the point. Now go talk to someone worth low 5 figures.
Thinking they might think financials are a little higher on the list.
Understand it’s a narrow perspective. I’m blessed enough to have friends from both ends of it. And all in all the happiest regardless of net worth are the ones who keep God close and have a loving family. I also have a 70 year old neighbor who lives alone across the canal that has two million dollar boats and he’s the biggest arse you’ll ever meet.Admit that I probably am. And didn’t mean to hijack the subject.
Just overall would like to see more of what those people think about priorities, happiness, and money vs people who don’t have to worry about it on a daily basis.
@InVOLuntary is your neighbor?! Small world.Understand it’s a narrow perspective. I’m blessed enough to have friends from both ends of it. Laughed@InVOLuntary is your neighbor?! Small world.
I wish.@InVOLuntary is your neighbor?! Small world.
Bible tells us to pay unto Caesar, and teaches to be good stewards of Gods blessings. And to tithe. At least that's my interpretation.Understand it’s a narrow perspective. If @InVOLuntary was my neighbor means I live at Ridges or on a bluff near Cherokee Country Club & got first world problems. Could live with that.I wish.
All jokes aside, been on daily webinars with @bignewt. Learn't to write like a bauce.I mean, I found his How to Accumulate Pieces of Crap to be a game changer for me.
You think that’s bad, but wait until you see a double laned round about in Atlanta. Half the people here are on suspended licenses, or they’re from NY or Florida. Heads are rolling.
I agree roundabouts are effectively the best way to redirect traffic. It boggles me how much of a hard time some people have with them.
