Apparently Mississippi State's defense is all about taking away the deep ball.

They are 14th in the country in passing yards allowed giving up only 129 yards a game.

They're longest completion given up is 37 yards.

That being said, we are by far the best passing offense they have played so far.

I think the answer is that it is relatively easy to evaluate tangible QB skills and attributes, but it's far harder to evaluate the intangible things that make a QB great in Heupel's system. I don't believe it's due to any inherent weakness on his part, but rather that you can't really know how a guy is gonna perform in your system until you get him in a game running that system. The light obviously turns on for some and for others the bulb stays pretty dim. So no, I don't think he's bad at it, I think it's really hard. The NFL is still drafting guys on perceived potential and they have a very low percentage of success.

I also think that by getting a guy with elite physical attributes you increase the probability of him being serviceable, however, it doesn't take elite physical attributes to be successful in Heupel's system.
In the series Band of Bothers one of the veterans said “Lt. Winters could think while the battle was raging. He could process informations and not get rattled”
I think that ability to process information is what separates the so/so QBs from the really good QBs in CJH’s offense. Arm talent is a plus, but that ability to keep a play alive, instead of panicking is key.
I read a stat earlier today that I had purposely forgotten about our QB/ offensive play last year….no first half points for the whole month of October 🤬

Oh, my goodness. Florida's Administration is a hot mess. This interim president had to be promised 2 million dollars if by the end of his term he isn't made president and it's said he has no interest in being the permanent president at 71-years-old. So Florida's search firm is still trying to identify a candidate to be permanent president. It doesn't sound like there is much interest.
For $2M? I’ll do it. I can start tomorrow

So with the safety from Indiana getting eligibility for this year (Diego Pavia ruling)does that mean Joey can play next year

The way I read it is juco no longer counts against ncaa eligibility so if Joey played 2 years at juco, 2 years at appy state and 1 year at Tennessee he might be eligible for next year

Sorry

Just saw a thread in the football forum
Answered my question I think

Please don't spread the filth of the FF in here.

Looks like he might be headed to TX Tech. Ok St fans gotta really be jealous of Red Raiders and how the managed NIL.
I don’t that it’s how they “managed nil”. Texas tech has a booster that said f’ it im all in on buying this team into contention. Ok State primary booster apparently not game.

I read the article that just came up on ESPN about the Indiana safety being eligible and it read like juco years no longer counts towards ncaa eligibility years so that’s why I asked
Then I googled it and the thread from the football forum was one of the first matches lol
