I’m just saying if you know you’re always going to lose the dollar battle, don’t fight it and at least make sure you’re better than the rest of the have-not programs in the areas you can gain a competitive edge.Did facilities matter to Florida players back when Urban Meyer was winning titles at Florida? They've only recently become adequate in that area. What matters now is the almighty dollar. It's who can give me the biggest bag more often than not. Location might come into play sometimes but how many of those 4 and 5 star California kids are staying in California? I would wager if you looked at the top 25 teams in the country, it would be littered with teams with worse facilities than Florida has now but they are fielding more competitive rosters.
Here's a questionThe funny thing is that this will all get scrapped because you know this conference will add 2 more teams before the 4 years is up.
He also brought them a lot of steady success. Maybe not flash, but steady success. He never should have been hard on our radar, but he served them well.Mike Gundy.
He is the last of a generation of coaches from the early 2000s that had a lot of success at a P5 school and was kept around… for 20 years! That will be unheard of anymore.
A dinosaur. A rich dinosaur.
It's all about television markets. Big 10 already has the TV market up north and on the west coast. SEC doesn't want them expanding south. Here's a question
Why should the SEC give a rats rump if the Big Ten added two more teams like UNC and Carolina? I'd argue that still doesn't put them on our level. Would the Big Ten just add more than that and somehow they would just dominate everybody? It feels like if we just don't add anymore teams everything should be fine. I know "money", but like...two super conferences threatens the sport IMO.
Hyatt will probably resurface when he gets away from Daboll next season.Cedric Tillman? He's having a great season already. I guess it depends on how you classify "anything."
But it'll take time. It even took Jauan 2-3 seasons before he cemented himself in San Francisco. Jaylen Wright could break out if he gets healthy. If Dak gets injured then Joe is 1st man up. Sampson is RB2 in Cleveland. Thornton is impressing as a rookie.
Honestly, he hasn't had a can't-miss offensive player in the draft, yet. The two best prospects have been Hyatt and Sampson based on their collegiate achievements. Sampson is where he's supposed to be but Hyatt has definitely disappeared.
