Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

I honestly think the league managed not to screw this up. An unexpected development.
It can still get ugly. We'll still have 6 of the other 12 teams which will have a chance to give you a more difficult schedule than others. May get Florida, Bama , Georgia and Oklahoma same year , just hopefully they will be fair to everyone.

If everything were hunky dory, you asked for evidence—this is it, then why in the world would Danny White do something as drastic as call for collective bargaining? The evidence is that there are lot of people in very high positions in college football who are scrambling to find a fix.
No offense, but that's pretty unconvincing evidence. ADs want more money for their institutions. That's really their primary goal, and their secondary goal.

If there is an objective expert out there who is sounding the alarm on the demise of college football, I'd listen. But as much as I like DW, he is far, far from objective. This new system is causing boosters who previously donated money directly to the university to donate directly to players or NIL funds, which means a significant decrease in funds going directly to the university. That's what DW is concerned about, not the demise of college football or a decline in its health.

It's kinda looking like that for 2028/2029. I would imagine UF, UGA, and OU won't be on the schedule next year or 2027, but they all may rotate back on in 2028.

At the same time, I don't think any team is going to avoid playing at least 5-6 tough SEC opponents annually.

A likely 16-team future playoff paired with a 9-game conference slate is going to mean SEC playoff teams will either be absurdly battle-tested or absurdly injured, especially if they don't get a first-round bye. SEC Championship game probably dies under a 16-team playoff.

Aguilar is on pace to throw 12ints. The number seems very insignificant when you consider how the ints happened. I don't mind 12 ints if they are all as meaningless as they have been.
That’s what I been saying for months. A long interception down field taking a shot at a Bomb is no different than punt.

Saturday Down South still looks foolish sourcing a parody account. Lots of people guessed what Richard did. He launders his account that way. Whoever runs that account is really clever. And notice he doesn't have a blue check. He isn't being paid to tweet. If he was wrong no one would be concerned. it's a parody account. He's wrong all the time often times on purpose.

Am I the only one that thinks this and accounts like it are stupid? It’s not even satire and never funny. The only point is to dupe people. It brings no value and I’m about to ignore posters who bring it over.

I find it absolutely hilarious but I understand what it is and what it isn't. Sometimes it can be really funny. What irritates me is how often people quote it like a legitimate source when it's regularly wrong on purpose.

I really don’t find it funny at all. If it was satire, I get it. That account in particular just reads the message boards and posts the most likely outcomes. I just don’t see the humor in it I guess.

I stopped finding it funny when someone lost their job for trying to call the account out

Does this rumor that Shedeur Sanders told the Ravens not to draft him because he didn't want to backup Lamar smell fishy to anyone else? He's third string right now behind Joe Flacco. Even if Joe isn't the guy, there was a guy drafted ahead of him the team has more invested into.

I agree. It's like a middle school level of juvenile humor. The kind of people who enjoy it seem to be the same people who make fart noises with their armpits and giggle about it. I just don't get how people like stuff like that.

You're acting like this moron's prediction of Bama, Vandy and Kentucky is ground breaking news. This was the consensus opinion of VolNation (and pretty much everyone else) over a year ago.

Will you, or anyone else, show me on the doll where RGW hurt you.....Screenshot_20250805_072631_Gallery.jpg

*He's been right several times and normally calls it before anyone else. I don't know why he bothers you so much. He's fun and I don't see the problem in what he posts or any of our insiders post.

I know it's kind of a mean spirited post from me, but I've been wanting to use this meme again. ✌️
