The gist of this story is that UCLA can't compete because wealthy alumni don't care enough about the football program but that this problem is somehow fixable if they just get the right hire.

It's dumb. The investment much come before the coach. If you're just investing in a bloated coaching contract that guarantees a guy tens of millions to fail, then you can't expect that to fix a lack of investment in the program. You're just trying to patch over the problem with TV money.

Cal fans said they wished they had our commitment to athletics. quoting 200 something, 'see this is what its like when you have a football program, wish we had something like this.' Ill never forget as long as I live.

If it’s what Chris Low is hearing, then it is probably true. Having Vandy and Kentucky as permanent opponents is a huge W for UT.

What’s the cheapest way to watch the game today? Had Hulu but that is $$$ so looking for alternate. Fubo the way to go?

I always thought Sling TV was pretty reasonable, and you can usually sign up for the first month at half price. It's been a while since I've used it, but never had a problem with it in the past, so I would definitely look at it personally. Plus, they now have a Day Pass apparently for like $5.99 (you need the Sports Extra for SECN, I believe).

I was a bit surprised to see that much juice for Illinois. I thought it would be closer to a pick'em or Illinois -2.5ish
