My theory: He’s developed sort of a back scratching relationship with a lot of big programs, and their SID (Sports Information Director). They give him close access, he tows the company line for them on the show until the wheels absolutely fall off. Notice how he’s high on multiple coaches with a scorching hot seat every offseason.

I still usually listen to his in season breakdowns of games that are of interest to me, particularly the Vols. But his show isn’t as good as it used to be, and you can’t take his analysis too seriously.

He absolutely does. I found it comical a few weeks back when he said he has no idea how Bama lost to FSU based on what he saw in the Bama scrimmage. Yet he was never a player or coach at big time level.

If that's the case (re: Haywood) & you're in Knoxville, check out Smoked Pickle Barbecue. It's a food truck operation but sets up every Thurs. & Fri. on Ebenezer Rd. in west Knox. They're modeled after Texas BBQ. Not there on Saturdays - busy catering football.

Injury update via Hubbs on 104.5 this morning:
Expect Moi to be ready for Miss St.

Hobbs is planning to play vs Miss St but still needs to be cleared (has been running in cleats).

McCoy still hasn’t been cleared for 11v11 best case is Arkansas. Also said the narrative of him not wanting to play/sit out is false. Has been very engaged and helping young guys.

Sanders- shoulder is getting better but don’t expect him to play until he gets a full practice week in.

Graham was cocky, but I will add he was always nice to me, despite being a bull shitter. definitely that rode his brothers coattails.

at the end of the day they are fundamentally good dudes. the stuff about Steve being prouder of his State title baseball ring is true.

steve video gave a eulogy for a dear family friend and former teammate of his. Made me cry. If you're from JC, guy used to mark em up just a little bit.

My daughter worked at a wellness center and he was always in there. She said he was quite the story teller.

Rankings are dumb. Everything should be a power rating. Though it seems the AP is turning the corner on this. ND is still ranked, rightfully so based on the quality of losses. Similar to UT staying put (should have gone up though in reality if you're saying UGA is top 5).

I believe the rankings should have a huge component based on your schedule but Disagree with your “Rightfully So” about ND.

The fallacy is their new strategy is take early “Quality” losses, get ranked high due to name love and the quality loss excuse, play no one else the rest of season and get in because their own loses were quality loses EARLY in season.

That is bogus.

I think Heup made two real mistakes there late and I'm not going to criticize him for them...

#1 He trusted the defense too much, he really thought that if he could get up 8, that the game was probably over barring a huge play, and the defense had been playing much better since the 1st 3rd qt drive...I totally understand that call.


#2 He had 100% faith in Max...which is why that last sequence went like it did...once again I totally get it, he had zero reason to doubt Max..he has been a great kicker.

I doubt he makes those two mistakes again this year....I know I wouldn't.

Good news on DTs
Hopefully we get McCoy for are Kansas
Moi and Hobbs for MSU will be big
Pressure on the QB will help the DBs
