Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

Tech fans don't want him. I've been on their message boards lately getting the pulse of the fan base. They are delusional. They are talking about Dan Mullen right now. They think Vick isn't nearly ready or proven enough.
Buddy of mine who is a Va Tech fan said he’s hearing PJ Fleck

Still hoping the next time the military makes a logistics error, it resuits I carpet bombing Athens into the after life!
I since have been informed it was us playing Rocky top and not their band.

I still hate them. I hope they figure out how to miss the playoffs. Undeserving barking cucks.

You know what? I think Josh Heupel heard the criticism of his offense in the offseason and that had something to do with all the evolution we've seen from it this year. Way more pro-style concepts, some plays stolen straight from the pro game.

Billy Napier's offense doesn't evolve at all.
I really think it was more of personnel driven decision. Heup's offense at UCF and the beginning at UT was a way of being competitive with lesser talent. He has the horses to compete on a more level playing field which allows him to play it more straight up.
Look at 2022, we were not capable of going toe to toe with Georgia. We now have the dudes to do that.

Dude seriously just shut up for once. You don’t know anything or anyone. I’m tired of it.

It was a devastating loss and posted right after. As I already stated.
How exactly are you going to make me? You are the one that posted that stupid toxic 💩, did you really think no one was going to defend our coach? I get being gutted...I don't understand talking that guy down.

You have ZERO idea how sick I am of the toxic morons that infest this place...you wanna post like one of them, then I'm going to call you one of them.

I don't think I've ever had a problem with you before.

Anybody that thought taking down UGA with 4 future NFL defensive players sitting on the bench was going to be easy was asking for a massive letdown.

So...tell me Gibson, McCoy, Hobbs and Moi wouldn't have been worth at the very extreme least a TD....you know they would have.

So...our coach that you sound ready to throw away schemes up a devastating attack on two of the best defensive minds in CFB with iirc 17 5*s and 25 4*s and beats them with all that elite defensive talent sitting on the bench...except our really talented really reliable kicker having an extreme brain malfunction at the worst possible moment...and you want to trash him?

You said what you said, so I said what I said.

If you didn't mean it because you were really pissed and maybe a few drinks in...then so be it...I'll buy that.

Yeah, that opens up a great point, that Heupel is getting better chess pieces and he's able to be more versatile because of it. I bet he was drooling when he figured out he could do all this stuff with Joey.

The amount of programs that can do what Georgia did and actually upgrade from an 8-10 win coach with occasional 11 in Mark Richt to one that routinely wins 11+ in Kirby Smart is basically zero. That was an insane gamble. Most every time, you are just blowing up the program for a lateral hire at best.
Exactly...and the amount of coaches that can do what Heupel has done and basically turn Chernobyl into Yosemite are also nearly zero.

8 turnovers? 👀. I wish someone would give Heupel the ball for 8 extra drives a game, 😂
I so vividly remember that game............The week before Streater went 80 yrds for a TD, but lost to Cal.
Kelsey Finch was great vs BC and Billy Arbo caught a TD pass from Streater.

Greg Jones had an interception I believe.

It's crazy that so many dudes with so much talent are so bad-mediocre.
I would argue a lot of it is the quality of coaching they are getting. Think about this class of QB prospects for the NFL draft. Which of the ones being mentioned as high draft picks in the preseason has lived up to that and who do you replace those guys with? Who in this crop of prospects is worth trading up to go after or drafting first overall? And it's been that way for the past few draft classes. Far fewer hits than misses.
