then you eat crossing patterns and running the ball in short boxes
Rolling the other safety down into the box makes it much harder to hit on crossers and adds a guy to the box against the run. UGA started in 2 high safety. Like almost everyone has done the last couple years. We attacked that correctly and the UGA adjustment was to roll the other safety down. That is why later in the game we had a couple WR's almost get killed on crossing routes.

I’ll just leave this here(not my post just sharing it)..🏈🍊

“They’ll say it’s over for us in Athens. They’ll say it’s over for us on ESPN, but in Knoxville we know something different. Every commentator will take their shot at driving the Volunteer name into the ground. But the words of the many do not dictate the effort of the few.

What is done on the field—the fight to the last whistle, the spirit that refuses to be broken—cannot be erased. From the Alamo to overtime, Tennessee has always stood for a will that cannot be dominated. Tonight was no different. Those boys fought tooth and nail, and when the momentum faded, it only revealed another step to climb, another chance to sharpen what must be sharpened.

This is not the end. It is the first step on the road to becoming a greater version of ourselves. Defeat is not failure—it is opportunity. An opportunity to grow, to rise, to prove once again that Vol Nation is built on more than a scoreboard.

And Vol Nation is not just 11 on the field. It is not just the names on jerseys. It is 101,915 strong in Neyland Stadium, roaring together as one, and millions more who bleed orange from afar. That unity does not break with one loss. That fire does not go out.

The fight continues. The journey continues. And the Volunteers will rise again.”
Damn straight!

16-1 🤠

Can’t believe I allowed myself to believe. I won’t do that again. We will always be good with Danny White as AD and what he does for sports, but I’m not sure Heupel is anything but an 8-10 win coach. That’s good but I want a title again one day.

I actually see this as a long rebuild, similar to Dabo at Clemson and maybe Harbaugh at Michigan. Took them a long time to build it and finally punch though for a title (albeit Harbaugh may have cheated).

I think Heupel can get it done

Just have to endure the bumps in the road

I think this season will have some of those. I’m thinking the defensive injuries are going to hold us out of the CFP. But we are still fun to watch and the recruits keep coming in, so I’m here for the long rebuild.

some of our D-line was constantly lining up offsides. even after we got called on it. it was a problem last year to.

I could agree with this line of thinking if it wasn’t for the fact that Georgia was not called for a single penalty in the 2nd half or OT. Sure, we probably got away with a few things, that’s the nature of the sport. We may have had a few non-calls go in our favor, but Georgia had basically every single call and non-call go in their favor.
