I have confirmed, albeit flippantly and sarcastically, that every player in porthole will be sought by UT fans.I did just confirm from some articles and Pete Nakos that all players transferring from UCLA or Va Tech can play this year and have immediate eligibility but they can also redshirt and sit out and save the wasted year.
This is the one player from UCLA I would target: Oregon transfer Rodrick Pleasant has started all three games at cornerback for the Bruins and is one of the fastest players in the country.
man, sure wish we would have run the ball again on 3rd after the false start penalty to get back what we lost potentially and center the ball...
If you have a young player that gets an injury, why risk playing him and making the injury worse? Joint injuries can lead into chronic conditions very quickly if not allowed to heal. The OL has not been a problem at all and all we have heard is good things about Sanders. Even if he redshirts he comes back next year bigger and stronger. What is really going on with David Sanders?
With a quality receiver one on one coverage is open. A qb is looking for one on one matchups and for players to make plays. A qbs job is to make the right read. On pass plays it is to give his receiver a chance to make a play.I think so, but it’s interesting that Brazzell wasn’t “open” on either of his long TDs—especially the second. Y’all had to like the matchup when he was singled up, but I will be interested to see if those throws continue to have success. In both long TDs, the defenders were close enough to make a play but (taking nothing away from Brazzell, who played both perfectly and played through serious PI on the first) both defenders misplayed the ball by jumping or going for the ball too early.
It may be that Brazzell has that Moss or Calvin Johnson about him to win a bunch of those high arc passes, but those long, high throws will invite teams to start playing a centerfield safety.
Again, taking nothing from either JA or Brazzell, I think the incorporation of out-breaking routes and quick passes are the scarier evolutions in the offense in terms of trying to stop it while defending the run.
What if we get a holding penalty and get backed up another 10 yards?Sham absolutely jumped, so not trying to blame officials.
BUT I will point out both of those 4th quarter, can ice the game drives we had...first being after the fumble recovery and the next being the one you mentioned we had false starts called on us.
I would've really loved to see Heupel just run a damn play trying to score there. Georgia had zero timeouts, we had 1 and 7 seconds. Dial up a quick hitter and see if GA is ready, if they get called for a penalty or if we can score on it. As long as Joey doesn't make a bad throw you have nothing to lose.
The Sting is one of my all time favorites, along with Jeremiah Johnson. The Natural is also one of the greatest sports movies of all time...right up there with Hoosiers, imo.The Natural, the Sting and All the Presidents Men... Classic movies...

The noise level is not really understood from tv. Unless you are in the stadium you have no clue to the volume. The stadium was shaking Saturday. The only other time I remember it being at that level was when we hit that field goal vs Alabubba in 2022 (it was like a atom bomb going off), maybe OU 2015?Anyone judging crowd noise while watching on their TV are idiots anyway.
Those microphones may pickup the crowd noise perfect, but there is still a guy sitting in a control room at a mixing board that can mute them to crickets if he so desires.
They always make certain places sound louder on TV (Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, etc.) and we're one of the ones they sort of keep in check. One reason I just look at what folks that were at the games say (if I'm not there myself). If the recruits are saying "loudest place I've ever been" if Cole on the sideline is saying "it's deafening!" etc. then that's enough proof for me.
Yeah, I always appreciated Bru's grit and toughness but he wasn't what was needed last year. The injuries just caught up with him.I think we finally have guys that can be NFL players at that position this year
No speed issues, guys that can catch and jump
Good size, etc…..
Our past guys last year outside of DT were slow and not athletic enough bc of previous injuries, etc….
Please let McCoy be back by Arky so he’s ready to go for that stretch of games. We need him.AP on 104.5 (paraphrase): Sanders is chomping at the bit to play, but strength isn’t there yet. Agent isn’t suggesting to sit out. Will rotate in but is undoubtedly still a starter once strength is back.
On McCoy, earliest he will be back is Arky.
Imo Brazzell never lost his swagger. He just didn't have a QB that could anticipate throws or trust him.
He's playing now like he was at Tulane 2 years ago.
