Oh for sure...and lets check in on those WRs that left for "bigger" roles...

Squirrel White - 2 games, 2 catches for 47 yards 0 TDs
Chas Nimrod - 3 games, 10 catches for 248 yards 0 TDs (pretty good success, expect even bigger numbers now that their P4 opponents are behind them)
Kaleb Webb - 3 games, 4 catches for 67 yards 1 TD
Cam Seldon - 3 games, 1 rush -1 yard, 8 catches for 37 yards 0 TDs
Nathan Leacock - 2 games 0 stats
Dayton Sneed - 2 games 0 stats

Good on Chas, he at least always was a hard worker while here. The others...kind of not surprised, I think Squirrel is a good dude but just didn't land in the right system for what he is great at. Go get paid though, cause you're likely not playing professionally.
Oof I forgot Cam went to VT. Ouch. Hope the best for him with the coaching change. I still think he's gonna be really good.

Anyone judging crowd noise while watching on their TV are idiots anyway.

Those microphones may pickup the crowd noise perfect, but there is still a guy sitting in a control room at a mixing board that can mute them to crickets if he so desires.

They always make certain places sound louder on TV (Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, etc.) and we're one of the ones they sort of keep in check. One reason I just look at what folks that were at the games say (if I'm not there myself). If the recruits are saying "loudest place I've ever been" if Cole on the sideline is saying "it's deafening!" etc. then that's enough proof for me.

Fowler and Herbstreit mentioned the deafening noise several times.

I think most announcers enjoy calling games at Neyland and the atmosphere that is created there. It’s the best venue in college football.

Dude can read a defense. That is the difference.
I think so, but it’s interesting that Brazzell wasn’t “open” on either of his long TDs—especially the second. Y’all had to like the matchup when he was singled up, but I will be interested to see if those throws continue to have success. In both long TDs, the defenders were close enough to make a play but (taking nothing away from Brazzell, who played both perfectly and played through serious PI on the first) both defenders misplayed the ball by jumping or going for the ball too early.

It may be that Brazzell has that Moss or Calvin Johnson about him to win a bunch of those high arc passes, but those long, high throws will invite teams to start playing a centerfield safety.

Again, taking nothing from either JA or Brazzell, I think the incorporation of out-breaking routes and quick passes are the scarier evolutions in the offense in terms of trying to stop it while defending the run.

1st Night Game in Neyland Stadium.

An early September matchup between the Vols and Nittany Lions marked the first night game in the history of Neyland Stadium. Tennessee emerged victorious, 28-21, but the story really begins a year prior.

Following the Tennessee's win over Penn State in 1971, Penn State head coach Joe Paterno implied that the game being played during the daytime rather than at night was a contributing factor to his team's loss.

The very next season, in 1972, Tennessee installed lights in the stadium and the first home night game in program history would be against… Penn State.

The week two top-seven matchup saw the Vols jump out to a 14-0 lead after one quarter, with junior tailback Haskel Stanback punching in a pair of rushing touchdowns for UT. Stanback's third rushing score of the day with under nine minutes remaining in the fourth quarter all but sealed the deal as he totaled 101 rushing yards in Tennessee's 28-21 validating victory under the lights.

The #1 former Vol I'd want to see in Heupel's system...

Cordarrelle Patterson about 30 pounds lighter than Fant and a hell of a lot faster with more quickness as well. I think he would've put up even better number than Velus Jones Jr. did.
I was also thinking Patterson and then I also though Kamara would be lethal

Anybody know if other schools use ticket master like us or are all the other secondary markets like Stub hub, seat geek, etc still legit? Haven’t bought road tickets in a hot minute.

This almost tends to suggest the staff actually knows what they are doing in making decisions on who to keep and who to let leave in the portal. Shirley that can't be true?

man, sure wish we would have run the ball again on 3rd after the false start penalty to get back what we lost potentially and center the ball...

I think Herbstreit even referenced calling afternoon games in Neyland being some of his favorites because of the fans, atmosphere, sun going down, etc.

He said night games at Neyland are amazing, but those big afternoon games are special.
