I think another big jump this year is Joey throws a very catchable ball and is letting guys make plays.

WRs mixed reviews so far (mainly because of the NFL success, but once that starts happening the narrative of "doesn't prepare them" will be gone)

I think we finally have guys that can be NFL players at that position this year
No speed issues, guys that can catch and jump
Good size, etc…..

Our past guys last year outside of DT were slow and not athletic enough bc of previous injuries, etc….

OU's defense is not better than Georgia's. We will curb stomp them.

I had flashbacks of Burke's miss on the plains in 1990 from 35 yards right before we snapped the ball. It was not a pleasant memory or a good omen. That miss still haunts me 35 years later.

I kicked 35 yard field goals in the front yard for 2 months afterwards every day after school just to remind myself how stupid it was for a scholarship kicker to miss that. Of course my parents front yard didn't have 85k screaming maniacs in it, but that was irrelevant to my blissfully ignorant teenage mind.

Oh for sure...and lets check in on those WRs that left for "bigger" roles...

Squirrel White - 2 games, 2 catches for 47 yards 0 TDs
Chas Nimrod - 3 games, 10 catches for 248 yards 0 TDs (pretty good success, expect even bigger numbers now that their P4 opponents are behind them)
Kaleb Webb - 3 games, 4 catches for 67 yards 1 TD
Cam Seldon - 3 games, 1 rush -1 yard, 8 catches for 37 yards 0 TDs
Nathan Leacock - 2 games 0 stats
Dayton Sneed - 2 games 0 stats

Good on Chas, he at least always was a hard worker while here. The others...kind of not surprised, I think Squirrel is a good dude but just didn't land in the right system for what he is great at. Go get paid though, cause you're likely not playing professionally.

Golf's 1st recorded Hole - N- One



Tom Morris Jr scored the first hole in one in the Open Championship.

While probably not the first ever hole in one, Morris’ ace was almost certainly the first reported hole in one and the first in the Open Championship. As the other three golfing majors had not yet been introduced it was also the first hole in one in major championship golf!

Young Tom’s ace was achieved at the 8th hole (the ‘Station’ hole) of some 166 yards in length. Unfortunately, history does not record the club used. The Station hole was part of the original 12 hole course but sadly no longer remains.

This was Young Tom’s second win in the Championship having won the previous year aged 17. He went on to win the Championship Belt outright when he also won in 1870.

Joey definitely throws a more catchable ball than Nico, but WRs are also running routes so much better this year. Brazzell and Staley especially were getting separation I didn't see a lot of last year.

Some of that is Joey seeing the opening before it's there. The shorter touchdown to Brazzell was a great example. Saw the momentum of the safety moving away from the endzone and put the ball in the back of it. Never saw Nico make any of those anticipatory throws to space.
