Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

Dude can read a defense. That is the difference.
Nico has physical talent and that's about it. Everyone raves about him in practice where it's a controlled environment. The second he's uncomfortable he falls apart. He's several years away from realizing his potential...I don't think he had a lot of experience in HS playing QB. Joey has good talent, instincts, and a lot of experience. Could've said the same for Hooker. I think Heupel at least knows exactly what to look for now if he ever needs another transfer QB.

Can’t believe I allowed myself to believe. I won’t do that again. We will always be good with Danny White as AD and what he does for sports, but I’m not sure Heupel is anything but an 8-10 win coach. That’s good but I want a title again one day.
Awful take.
Auditioning for the LoM?
Just pitiful.

Turn in your VFL card immediately and
Be banished to the FF.

My favorite thing about this year’s team so far is how Brazzell and Heard are examples of players not being the same from year to year despite fans writing them off thinking that’s how it works.
lol yep
Guys not good as a 1st year player or a freshman or sophomore and people think they suck

This shows the position coaches can develop players

Our players and Coaching Staff are winners. Not perfect, but winners. Many of our fans are showing themselves to be the losers they are. Multiple UGA fans have reached out to me and expect a rematch in Atlanta . I do too. If you are too gutless to believe, sucks for you.
Yup, I was firmly convinced that 17-0 🤠 was gonna happen.

My fall back position is definitely doable.

16-1 🤠

In this scenario, we actually beat uga in the SECCG and again in the playoffs.

If you don’t believe, or consider yourself a realist, then please, please limit yourself to the FF where misery loves company. Keep it out of the RF.

Take plenty of Tylenol/Advil. You’ll have a raging headache by the end with all the cowbells. It’s miserable.
Keep in mind, there will be no hotel vacancy (that you would actually feel safe sleeping in) near the area if you are coming back east after the game. So after getting out of the game, you're going to have to drive a good way to find a hotel.

What does that have to do with the conversation? Only four teams made the playoffs in 2022. We wouldn’t have made the playoffs last year and probably wouldn’t make it this year under those rules.
We should have been in the playoff in 2022. They stole our signs and Hooker got hurt. We would have been in.

There are several examples now of guys making big leaps in production in their second year in Heupel's offense...especially with Hyatt, Thornton, and now Brazzell. I think Staley and Matthews will be on that list by season's end. It's exciting to think about the receivers for 2026 with all those talented guys that are at least in their second year in the offense and then the crazy group of freshmen coming in.

Also for the crowd wasn’t loud crowd.. Neyland was extremely loud this weekend but it’s not until the cooler months(especially at night) that the cooler air traps the noise inside the stadium making it seem louder.

Anyone judging crowd noise while watching on their TV are idiots anyway.

Those microphones may pickup the crowd noise perfect, but there is still a guy sitting in a control room at a mixing board that can mute them to crickets if he so desires.

They always make certain places sound louder on TV (Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, etc.) and we're one of the ones they sort of keep in check. One reason I just look at what folks that were at the games say (if I'm not there myself). If the recruits are saying "loudest place I've ever been" if Cole on the sideline is saying "it's deafening!" etc. then that's enough proof for me.

Hopefully the Nico situation helps some guys realize just how green the grass is at Tennessee

Yeah I think if you're a QB or RB how could you not want to play for this offense?

WRs mixed reviews so far (mainly because of the NFL success, but once that starts happening the narrative of "doesn't prepare them" will be gone)

He probably could have made the play if he wasnt getting held or his facemask tugged

Isn't it amazing how the big dick teams in SEC get away with stuff like that. It is really ridiculous. Ya think we would be flagged for it? Yea we would. During the ga timeout before the supposed false start call on us before the kick Kirby was talking with the sideline referee on their side - wonder what they were discussing? The pass interference on our guy when the ball was clearly out of bounds was terrible too. Ya just have to hit the kick and not have the goons affect the outcome.

It clearly seems to take recievers 2 years to fully grasp their route tree and make quick decisions. That has been proven true more than not. It seems to be even more important than time in system for QB.
