That dude ran for 92 vs Ohio state. I think he can be a dang good back if you give him the carries. I thought he ran better than Bishop Saturday
Lewis had to have slept with one of the linemen’s girls, because they did not have nearly the push when he was running that they did for thomas or bishop 😂

I’d argue Georgia’s is better. Oklahoma’s defense is decent but competition and a Freshman qb has it a little inflated. Let’s see where they are here after a few more weeks. Lane will provide the blueprint the week before us. They also have to come to us. I’m less worried about that game than UGA. I don’t think Mateer is as good as Stockton.
I can agree with everything, but the last statement. Mateer is a stud, but I'd be kinda shocked if we lost another home game. Georgia is the only team that's beaten Heupel there since October of 2021.

The jury is out on the defense, but I think our offense, barring injuries, was the worst it will be all year against UGA. That's crazy to think. I sure hope the defense against UGA was as bad as it ever will be this year too. . .
Yeah I'm very interested in seeing how well our defense does against Missy St. The last two years, Georgia and Ohio St are the only teams that could block us. If Missy St cant block us, I think it's going to bode well the rest of the way.

Guys I didn’t recognize your offense on Saturday. So many of the pass game tendencies that I was expecting to see were gone. Bunch looks, out routes, combination play, quick hitters inside—none of those things were possible in prior years given the alignment. I though the offense was so much more effective and multiple.

We all knew deep shots were going to be crucial, and Aguilar has a tendency to launch the ball in what I call an “arm punt”: high arc, slightly underthrown. And he did that three times on Saturday for 2 TDs and 1 int. If those numbers hold up and Brazzell keeps coming down with them, yall are going to win a lot of football games. A lot. And Brazzell looked so sharp on his routes, too. Giving him room to break outside is just so dangerous and is a potent new addition to your offense.

The pass game was so much more fluid and varied than in years past. I don’t know if it’s JA being better at reading the field or if Heupel is adapting his offensive style, but it was remarkably different. You could see defenders slow down to think instead of just playing fast with one job.
It's the fricking trigger puller. End of story. On time and in phase.

Good analysis, thanks for the input. I was surprised myself to see the huge variety in play calling in this game compared to last years game. I think it really all comes down to the QB.

I don’t like Josh Pate all that much, but I watched his program last night and when he talked about the game, he said a CFB HC texted him afterwards and said (I’m paraphrasing), “You know they trust him (Joey) in just a few months more than they trusted Nico all year long.” That’s pretty telling to me.

I don’t know if Heupel knew that Joey was this much better than Nico but I guess it really doesn’t matter in the end. The end result is a much much much better team with an open playbook and a QB that can execute it.
Dude can read a defense. That is the difference.

I've been thinking that in every game but thought I had to be crazy. He's got guys in the backfield almost every time he's handed the ball. Doesn't make any sense. Surely they're not trying to run different stuff when Lewis is out there. I think he's a lot better than what he's been able to show.

September 16, 2025: Stay in your own lane. You may have opportunities to help resolve issues of those around you, but it will not be in your best interest to intervene. There might be ways you can help, but you cannot take over. Carefully consider the consequences of every action that you are contemplating. 1 Thessalonians 4:9-12 But concerning brotherly love you have no need that I should write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another; and indeed you do so toward all the brethren who are in all Macedonia. But we urge you, brethren, that you increase more and more; that you also aspire to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you, that you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and that you may lack nothing.
