Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

Hate this part of it. Honestly hard for me to respect him or anyone who quits on their teammates three games into the season just because it’s been rough sailing.
The old school in me agrees with this.

But in this day and age with what's potentially on the line, in terms of real$$$, he'd be stupid not to see if there's a better opportunity, right now. It's getting increasingly hard to blame them.

I absolutely hate these national.idiots...HATE THEM...it breaks their jaw to say anything good about Heupel or Aguilar or Tennessee in general..

Nevermind we beat them except our really good kicker totally spazzed, with half the talent and four future NFLers at two of the most critical positions in modern defensive football sitting on the ******* bench...

All they do is harp on the mistakes and ANYTHING good they do say is IMMEDIATELY followed by a insult or derision or harsh criticism.

I am about to get to the spot where I want us to forget heavily supporting Baseball, Basketball and Women's basketball with our NIL and buy Heupel a 90% BCR roster and watch the mayhem that will happen.

Our own stupid Idiot Margin is doing this..and I hate you stupid ba***rds more than any rival fan or national reporter..

Answer me this all of you stupid 💩heads...what do you think happens if you swap the rosters?...uhh?...I'll tell you what happens, a massive 45-10 type devastation....hell just give Huepel his own roster fully stocked with Gibson, McCoy, Moi and Hobbs out there and the same damn thing would have happened.... Go ahead dip💩s...tell me with a straight face that those 4 players healthy aren't worth at least 12+ points...y'all have forgotten how good those guys are, especially in short yardage and red zone.

Imo Georgia scores 17 or less and we win that stupid game going away with probably even more points because defensive stops=more Tennessee drives=more Tennessee points.

I don’t understand how any honest person can sit there with a straight face and deny Josh Heupel the praise he deserves for what he has done. He ain't Mark Richt....that is an asinine comment...Heupel is not a nice guy like Richt, he is a dude that wants to rip your face off...he is EXTREMELY competitive.

That moron Cole on College Football Addiction said he is Mark Richt....Heupel has NEVER had the roster talent advantage that Mark Richt had, he inherited a dead nuked program in ashes with a totally decimated roster and has turned it into a really good program despite roster reductions and the fact we don't go all in on just hugely supporting football...we are all in on being THE Everything School, which I like, but it means Huepke will never have the overwhelming talent advantage of an OSU, Bama, Georgia or Oregon.

It will get better...but we are never going to have a 80%+ BCR...I hope I am wrong, but I just don't see it happening due to our approach, so Josh is going to have to win the really hard way...outlander and outgunned.

Out again...later haters 🙋

Not sure if any of you know who Caden Davis is, big YouTube content guy who was a walk on at Ohio St (was dismissed last year over said YouTube content). He was at the game this weekend and posted a lot of good stuff. He gave us a lot of high praise from the fans to the gameday experience to the stadium and campus etc. Said he absolutely loved UT and was blown away by everything. Also said Neyland in his opinion might be the best stadium and stadium experience in all of college football.

Get em, McGill!!!

Yep - the “leaky” defense I thought I was seeing in the Syracuse game may be a legit problem

This season does have 2012-vibes

I still think we finish 8-4 or better, but buckle up for some shootouts along the way
8-4? 2012?

I get it. The defensive ranking sucks.

And while the defense certainly has a few gaps... Getting 4 starters back on the DL and secondary will help tremendously.

All I think about is how much better I think this team is than I thought, and they have a shot at getting better by getting healthy.

I still think 9-3 is the floor. 10-2 totally doable.

Playoff appearance is attainable...

I agree unless we have more injuries...we have to stay healthy and there are very few guys that we can afford to lose.

Well, duh.

Not @ you ofc, but fact is only 7 out of 136 teams have faced more PLAYS. Of course our volume stats won't be great.

PER PLAY, we are 51st in total defense (63rd percentile), having faced the #1 passing offense (again), top-3 talented UGA, and 3/4 of what we allowed to ETSU were against 3rd and 4th stringers, all while being completely stripped of our best defenders.

Get healthy and get back to 20 ppg or less standard. Our offense will double that easily.

Yeah depth was/is the biggest issue. Already reared its ugly head.

And if we get bit by key injuries... It is what it is.

But I just don't worry about the program any more. We're so much better off. Maybe better off than we ever have been.

Just need to break thru that glass celling and get to ATL or make a playoff run. Everything else is there. Recruiting is great. Roster had as much quality across it as it's had in years.

And this year, a transition year, still has a chance to be special.

Things could be, and have been, sooo much worse. GBO🍊

You’re right. In one sense, it seems selfish. In another sense, most of these guys aren’t going to play in the NFL, so why not maximize your chances at making more money? The Wild West nature of things is probably more to blame than the athletes themselves.
