Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

Ty Redmond is extremely athletic and fast. He just doesn’t have the experience because he is after all a true freshman. Even on the last TD they scored, it took an uncalled push off by the UGA receiver, plus a perfect throw.
He is very athletic, but he’s no McCoy (at least not yet). I do realize he’s inexperienced. Hence my wording in my post.

I don’t hold this game against Ty whatsoever. I think he played about as well as I expected him to. The defense as a whole were outplayed and out schemed.

If Jermod doesn’t make it back this year, I’m sure Ty will get a whole lot better just from experience but I hope it doesn’t come to that.

I can see Kiffin heading there, especially if this season is a rerun of previous years. A path to a natty is a lot easier with Florida than it is with Ole Miss in terms of facilities and recruiting. Kiffin can coach and he can recruit, he’d be dangerous at Florida.
Depends. Expectations are a lot lower at Miss. He can avg 8-4, occasionally then go 10-2 and have a job for life.

Wonder if Nico transfers lol

In all honesty, UCLA and Va Tech players can transfer and play for other teams immediately????
I know im really late and this has probably been answered already, but ucla does quarters instead of semesters, meaning they haven’t started classes yet, meaning players technically could transfer right now. Idk if other schools would take them this deep into the semester or how the details would work though.

I could see Kiffin going to Florida--he likes attention and you don't get that kind at Ole Miss. Florida problem is what VOLS problem was for many years-- yes, you need a better coach, but also the schedule from hell doesn't help.

Ok, gang. We have all stewed on it, hashed it out for over 36 hours, fired everyone, degraded numerous people at fault, degraded each other, and gone through every emotion about the game on Saturday. Let’s flush it. We have at least 9 more games left, and let’s hope we have anywhere from 10-13/14. This team has the dudes if healthy to play anyone. Let’s hope we get healthy, win out, and play Georgia in SECC game to avenge our loss. It’s time to move on and move forward from Saturday.

ONE TEAM, ONE HEARTBEAT

Let's be honest. Georgia was lucky to win that game. We did everything right. We missed a damn field goal. That's the last game we lose this year. Win or lose, it an epic day at Neyland. We are freaking great.
It is bothersome that we are getting so hung up on the CB that is injured. Either he can play or he cant. We affect no change to that.

I really would like to see Moi or Hobbs be back, do think that would be an equally big deal.

Lets roll.

I would say tough loss, but it's not for me. We finally stood toe to toe with Georgia. I am so thankful that we have big games again at Neyland. We won the epic against Bama in 2022, and we lost the epic this year. So many positives to mention. They have been hashed out on here. This is what I think:

We are somewhere between 2021 and 2022 in terms of what season we will have. If we suffer no other major injuries and get our starting defense back, we are probably 2022 level. If we lose a few more key players, we will probably be more like 2021 (explosive offense but needing to outscore everyone to win). The DNA of this team is evolving, and we are seeing stars emerge (Aguilar, Star Thomas, Brazzel, Staley, Matthews, Herring, Ross, Hood, Farooq, the entire OL). Not to mention the guys we expect to show up, are (Arion, Boo, Kitselman, Bishop, Bailey, Eason, Josephs). We are getting excellent reps for young guys, and they are going to be awesome for us (Peyton Lewis, Redmond, Spillman, Smith, Jackson, Dodson, Sham, B Warren, Satterwhite, Van Dorselaar etc..).

I was optimistic (so I was told) to predict 8-4 heading into this year. Now, I am seeing 9-3 or 10-2. I cannot explain how thrilled I am with the leadership of our University.

In terms of roster management, we have a chance to be stacked for 2026. While I think it would be a reach to expect the following to NOT turn pro, it is not impossible. The two in bold are most likely to return if investment is right and draft grade isn't top 3 rounds.

Lance Heard
Brazzell
Arion Carter
Jermod McCoy
Rickey Gibson
Caled Herring

Of course, we will always have smoke with Boo and we will need to take care of Staley and Matthews. That will be normal business every year at the DB and WR positions.

But we have a chance to return most of the two deep on the OL. We will be stacked at RB (especially if we land another Star Thomas). WR and TE is nasty! We will have talent and depth at QB unless one transfers. DL will be young but nasty. LB will have so much depth and talent. I like our secondary and expect we will add 1-2 there to have more competition. I am positive we will create competition at K, but I like Max and I do not blame him for that loss. He will win a game or two for us this year.

In the end none of it will matter. We just just beat the best there is despite a stupid missed field goal. We took one of the best defenses in the country to the woodshed. It's gonna be aight.

Happy Monday

September 15, 2025: This is a good time for divine order, a time to take care of issues that you have put off because they seem to be overwhelming. But, the longer you procrastinate, the worse it will get. Rise up and do what you know must be done so that you can begin a time of progression into the next phase of your existence. James 4:13-14 Come now, you who say: Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell and make a profit; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Instead you ought to say: If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.

I'm looking for a 1982 Silverline Nantucket 22.
I can't find one anywhere. They're like the pinto of boats. If you come across a decent one, let me know.
