Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

If I think too much on yesterday's officiating, I'll lose my mind even more than it's already lost. Let's just leave it at, "I think the officiating was horrid". Wouldn't surprise me if the crew had put money on the game. Even worse if the announcers trying to excuse every call and non-call. I swear if I ever meet Herbie in person I'm going to kick him in the gonads. Annoying twit.
I live in fear that an SEC official is going to show up for worship services one Sunday morning and the rest of the congregation isn't going to appreciate my "righteous indignation."

They are just awful. All of them.

There's a thread in the FF..... if you dare.

Still don’t understand how the log jam happened.

10-5....at Neyland....unless I am forgetting one I don't think there was one freaking holding call on them.despute holding multiple Vols egregiously on every freaking down...especially 3rd down. Everybody 💩ting on Banks should go watch thise 3rd and 4th down plays...there was almost NO WAY we were getting home with the crap they were getting away with.

Sounds like Joe Burrow may miss 3 months with a toe injury. He’s great when healthy, but it seems like he’s only healthy about 50-60%of the time.

This one, too, was rather conspicuous.
Boo Carter was dragged to the turf and a TD was scored.

They called Lance Heard for doing the exact same thing earlier in the game. Pulled the defender down, face first, by his jersey.

*The SEC is corrupt and most officials hate the VOLS. The league office needs to be moved as far away from Birmingham as possible. Fire any referees that have anything to do with any school in the conference and hire some integrity..... if possible. The ref yesterday, Steve Marlowe, lives and works in Birmingham and head official, David Smith, was QB and team captain for Alabama. He's reffed some of our biggest games/losses too. They should never be able to officiate TN or Auburn or LSU games because of the rivalries. I don't know why some people don't understand the hatred between teams in the SEC and alumni/fans from the league shouldn’t be hired to officiate games.
*copied from game thread..... I meant to quote @Type Orange+ post and respond it in here to get more views.

*I feel like I'm making progress on my "do my part to red pill the RF" campaign.

FG wouldn't have been necessary if Heupel doesn't choose to go conservative on some of those drives, specifically the drive after the FF/TO where we ran it 3 times and kicked a FG.

Or maybe if the officials call Landon Humphries for the push off on that TD ....

Point being, there is blame to go around. I agree Max SHOULD have made the FG. But he's not solely to blame for losing.
100%.

Yep...when it comes down to a kick anyway...Max shouldn't have been in that situation, but he was and he failed at the one thing he is supposed to do...he is supposed to win the game right there. I think Heupel was shocked he missed, you can see he had 100% confidence in Max, and that badly misplaced confidence is probably why some of those decisions were made.

Bet Heup doesn't have that anymore.

I am not disgusted at Max, I like the kid and feel bad for him, but I can't help but be pissed...he had one freakin job, a job he has done really really well, but he blew it and let us all down..
It wouldn't be an issue if our offense didnt go extinct in the 2nd quarter. Really surprising after a 21pt 1st quarter. Just 3 pts there would've been nice. . .

. . . but there's are a dozen plays that could have won us that game. I've seen it mentioned, but I'm surprised it isn't mentioned more. . . not going for 2 on the last TD. Maybe that wins it, maybe not, just wondering why we kicked the XP instead.

Speaking of unnecessary "improvements"..... did you forget about the "Neyland Entertainment District" Danny got approved?

That hotel is going to jack up one the best views of the stadium. I love coming North across the Henley St Bridge and seeing Neyland. It doesn't make any money if people can look at it for free, though. I'm afraid catering to the 1% is eventually going to backfire on Danny White. I've seen it posted that Neyland was a little more quite yesterday than last season. 🤔

But...

I know!!!!

"wE neED MonEy, sO We cAn PAy hiM wHaTEva hE waNTs!!!" 🥴
People are already getting a little iffy about some of these things. That one is a mistake, imo. There has to be a different way.

His whole family is in Oxford now. There's some TV special coming out on him on the 24th that Finebaum said will make it clear he's entrenched there. He's making more than Napier already.
Its a kush job. he looks healthy, and happy. whatever hes doing keep it up.

Ill never forgive him for letting her go first time. He outkickrd his coverage.

Buddy sent me this and said it was 20 minutes before kick. No wonder the crowd didn’t seem to be much of a factor yesterday
The crowd was really loud by all accounts...but the refs negated the crowds effect on the UGA OL by letting UGA hold ridiculously and egregiously.

Might have been, or probably would have even louder if it had been the night game though. The SECorruot does not want us to beat Georgia....that is abundantly clear from the time slot and the Bama Ref crew they assigned to us.

Stop 💩ting on our coach who is the only reason we even have a chance to win these games...I hate this stupid armchair idiot 🦬💩.
