Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

I will say I do wish those 3 high rated LBs were getting more reps.

Carter & Telander are great, as is Spillman…but Bolton over Gass, Harmon, or Perlotte has zero to do with talent. And we need the young guys learning on the job like Redmond.

Also Perlotte is fast fast…

Can’t believe Bolton was playing on the final drive. Pretty sure he screwed up his gap which lead to a big UGA run

Also where is Jordan Burns??

We did the same thing in games in 22 with Hooker. Heup has to keep his foot on teams throats
Not sure this is necessarily the case. He typically does, and will show no mercy on opponents. The offense is rhythm-centric. 1 play, 72 yard drives hurt this offense a lot when the other team grinds out the running game. We lost all rhythm for 1.5 quarters and it showed.

Just finished watching the game - was at an event and kept up with the score on my phone

So many missed opportunities late

But we are now on equal footing with Georgia and no longer have to listen to how Heupel’s “smoke and mirrors” offense can’t score on Kirby Smart

All told - I was entertained

Flush it and move on

Go Vols!

I’m crushed. Never would I have thought we’d drop 38 on UGA in regulation and to have the win and then give it away. The worst.

We need our defensive starts back bad. Our guys play hard but our backup defensive backs just can’t keep with an elite teams starts. Made Stockton look like an all star.

Joey A is the man.

I am sadder than sad.

I hate the way being a sports fan makes me feel sometimes.

I’d much rather have been beaten by 20+ than shoot ourself in the foot and piss away a game we should have won.

You can’t be serious. You’d have rather shown the world (and the metric crap ton of recruits at the game) that our team can’t even keep it close against Georgia?

I don’t believe in moral victories, but there are way more positives from this game than negatives. They showed tonight that they can hang with anybody, including a team loaded with draft picks on both sides of the ball. Georgia didn’t even beat us. We literally beat ourselves.

Yes, it freaking sucks to lose to these guys again. I have no words to explain what it was like seeing us miss that field goal in person. There’s nothing I can say to capture just how heartbreaking that was to watch.

Strangely enough, I feel better about not only this team, but the program as a whole even though we lost.
