I can’t blame Gilbert for missing the FG. If that goes through we’re celebrating right now. In 2022, we got lucky on the final kick against Bama and this time we didn’t.

The problem I had was only going for a field goal after the strip sack. That was too weak.

Yea hated we got conservative after the TO. 3 straight runs especially after Pendleton's false start (he had a rough day). We played for the FG instead of stepping on their throats. Nonetheless, Gilbert got to make that damn kick.

Heupel also coached scared. Not his best game. Punting near midfield on 4th and 2 iirc isn’t like him. 3 straight runs after our turnover in the 4th was pretty infuriating. I would have preferred he be more aggressive but that’s with the benefit of hindsight. The reality is statistics say we are both wrong. We are also assuming we make the kill shot which is silly. Georgia had a lot go right to pull that out. You also have to give Heupel credit for putting us in position to win against a team that has superior talent by every metric. Lots of good happened today if you look just a little. Heartbreaking but encouraging.

He did make the kick in overtime which showed some real guts. Defense had a chance to win the game in overtime but failed. Many plays could have been the difference.
