Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

My bar was set really low for what he would do. Missing spring, plus it seemed like we didnt have many options outside of him. . . I wouldn't be mad about a 7-5 or 8-4 year with him, all things considered. It looks like he's gonna be better than that though.

I think he's way better than expected, but no doubt that there will be times we see some problems. It just seems like we've made a big upgrade.
Georgia is a tough defense to deal with for any QB...much less a QB having to deal with the issues you mentioned.

It will actually surprise me if he doesn't struggle in this game....especially since UGA will once again be allowed to assault our receivers with absolute impunity. I don't know why the scum SECorrupt officials always allow it against us...but they always do...even though Kirby literally bragged about it.

It's the easiest observation in the world to make that Lagway hasn't progressed and may actually have regressed. Who's fault is that? Who is responsible for preparing him? Is he supposed to coach himself?
Apparently Napier has only had an on field QB coach twice as a head coach. His OC in his first season at Louisiana coached QB's but left for Memphis after the season and this season where he promoted a guy who had been an offensive analyst under him the previous 7 seasons.

Thanks for posting...I thought Jack was saying that it was Coach Heupel..the "Big Josh" thing got me..lol.

That guy is right, and ge was saying the exact thing I gave...we have got to come out violently and angry and punch them right in the face over and over and over again.

Hey VNRF....would you please keep posting any and all quotes you can find on the Internet without investigating their veracity further or providing any disclaimer that they may be questionable? It is very helpful and encourages informative debate! 😘
This is a little out of character for you @Ulysees E. McGill

Interesting take here. And that may be the first time I’ve seen you use that emoji!

wish we had Moi and Hobbs for Ga... well, would love to have Gibson and McCoy too...

hope this isn't the difference... man, if we were at full strength on defense, we'd whip the crap out of them... I just am not feeling good about our penetration on the D line right now and we are having to play inexperienced DB's...

will be interesting to see what happens with Sanders...

Are Moi, Hobbs, and McCoy all confirmed out for UGA?

Excited to see the new offensive wrinkles CJH throws out this Saturday

Georgia is gonna bring it Saturday
They tend to show up for the money games

This Tennessee team has the Oline to compete this year

This is the first time in awhile I think we can win against them

I like our position a lot…Vegas line is factoring in the house being sold out and that’s a big deal…much like when we beat bama..this looks like one of those games in my opinion.the spread going down the way it has says a lot.you know the whole country is taking Georgia

If the Vols win the next 2 and Mississippi State also wins there next 2.....GameDay is gonna be in Starkville aren't they?
Zero chance imo.

Oregon v PSU OR Bama-UGA OR LSU-Ole Miss

Miss St is currently ranked 32nd. Hard to see them being helped that much with games against Alcorn St and NIU. And the Az St win will be devalued because they had a potential one-off last year in their magical ride to the playoffs (perception-wise). They were a 3 win team for each of the 2 years before that and beat lowly FCS Zona St by just 19 in their opener. Lest we forget Miss St only lost by 7 at ASU last year. Don't be fooled.

Oregon v PSU feels like a shoe-in. Neither will be tested before then. Oregon St and Northwestern look awful. PSU only plays Villanova...

This is the first time in a while I feel like we have a good chance. Even in '22 it was more a feeling of hope. This feels closer to a toss-up or even a slight edge for the Vols, based on each team's first games

It will be Oregon vs PSU for sure. Will be a top 5 matchup.
