Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

It’s called culling of the herd.
The problem today, every safety rule invented is for the stupid.

That’s why there’s so many stupid people today.

Idiots used to get culled, pre 1900.
LULZ
Just change the name of Waffle House to the Cull House. Go cull some phuggers and grab a waffle afterwards.

Tattoo culture is out of hand these days. People getting tattoos of whatever. . . "hi honey, I'm on the way home, but i'll be a little late. I found a nickel on the ground by the gas pumps. I'm gonna stop and get a tattoo of it on my neck.'

Prole Drift. It’s an interesting concept to learn about. It will make many people upset though.

Dare I say this…

If our receivers stay healthy, this offense could be near 2022 good. I don’t think it will have the same crazy numbers as we won’t run as much tempo.

But I think it is built better to beat the UGAs of the world.
Agreed. OL and RBs look very promising. Need to be able to slow the game down and grind out first downs on the ground when needed to salt games away and also give the defense time to rest.

I have maintained that recruiting isn't the end all be all. it covers up mistakes, which everyone makes, or flaws/shortcomings in coaching/play calling. but you can't be trash at the rest of it and rely on recruiting/talent. that is the Butch Jones method.
Butch Jones made his erroneous reputation of bring a great recruiter off of volume. He had a few big successes, like Kamara, who he severely under-utilized. However, the large majority of his recruits were average at best, and Butch was a poor coach.

This makes literally zero sense. Humans arent a gosh darn herd, and this isnt 1800's. Nothing you're saying makes any sense, at no point in your rambling incoherent post do you come close to anything resembling a point. I award you no point, and may god have mercy on your soul.
Well now, the book on modern society (Idiocracy) does discuss a culling of the herd.

Injury front:

Moi trying to play vs Georgia. Likely has an elbow sprain

Hobbs returns MSU and may play vs UAB

McCoy returns MSU but could change

Gibson likely gone for season or almost all of it
As much as I want everyone back for GA, I’ll take having them for the meat of the schedule. We can lose two and make the playoffs. Need health in October/November. Not as much for September.

Former Florida head football coach:
“I asked…is he a Top 10 pick in the NFL Draft, to Brady and Matt. This guy is unbelievable, Mark…this guy is a monster.”

Former Florida head football coach:
“[It’s] unbelievable how bad Iamaleava is…he just couldn’t do anything right.”

not defending Butch, but quantity has a quality all on its own. its not like he was the only one taking a bunch of guys and counting on a few performing.

the fact that so many had better NFL success than college success tells me he was a terrible developer, but could at least identify some talent.

IMO our lack of stopping the run was more on the linebackers in the second half than DL.

Bolton and Harmon looked confused. Even Spillman got caught a couple times. Syracuse runs a great scheme and one that gives lots of teams fits. UGA has a very basic run scheme.

Hope we see Burns more this week. Bolton didn’t look good to me.
I was thinking the same thing about Bolton, he’s not ready for this level imo
