Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

I didn’t watch the video, but nothing that Conner Stallions says can be believed. After watching the documentary a while back, if was pretty clear he was not believable. So, I’m not taking his word for it. There is a lot of circumstantial evidence that USCe had something that helped them late in the year.
Agree.

Hard to believe that anybody would believe what Stallions had to say, but I guess there are folks who choose to believe a proven liar who got caught as he tries to build back a destroyed reputation. The interview is a dodge and weave just like his "documentary" was.

Which is not the right way to do it. The right way is to come completely clean, own your part in it all, and start over. But I guess he is afraid he will be given a dirt nap or something.

The following is where I stand on it.

Transfer portal for 10 days starting on Jan 2. That's before the postseason ends. How long til we see a star player opt out of the playoffs and hit the transfer portal?
Sounds about right. You expect the NCAA to take the #1 logical thing and open the transfer portal AFTER the season is over and ignore it completely!!!

Was able to sell my old tickets to the GA game I had in Section KK (lost a little money on them) and picked up new ones at a pretty good price in Section P. Can’t wait until next weekend. Apparently it’s the checkerboard game too, so that’s pretty exciting.

Side note: my uncle decided to have his dang wedding next weekend at 4 o’clock and waited until the last minute to tell me by asking me if I was still going.

No way I’m missing my first game for someone’s third wedding (though this woman does seem a lot more promising than the last).

I can kind of believe the notion that SC didn’t have our signals, yall please hear me out before writing me off:

Prior to Hooker getting hurt, fumbling and giving up the td to make it a blowout, we only had 3 punts, and 2 of them were because a holding and opi call put us well behind the chains that we couldn’t convert on 3rd down. If they had our signals and still gave up 38 points then that’s pretty embarrassing on their part. Plus it is kind of on the coaches to a degree to periodically change the signals to prevent sign stealing.

NOW that that’s over with, let’s remember all the off field distractions that happened that week leading up to the game, plus our defense was not good that year to begin with. I dont see anyone getting our defensive signals for that reason that year.

HOWEVER, I do think SC intentionally trashed the field to make our guys slip more and slower that game. If you watch the game, pay attention to the insane amount of sand kicked up throughout the game. This caused 2 of our guys to suffer non contact injuries. This didn’t effect USCjr negatively because they knew about the field and wore special cleats to help prevent the slipping and made them move normal speed, which is why they were so easily getting open downfield
I believe the field trashing and I also think they cheated with signals. We were so good that year on offense, nobody wanted to play us even if they did have signals.

He danced around that one. Anyone involved in that operation on Michigan's staff could've given South Carolina the signals. He also insinuated that they wouldn't need another team to beat us because they would rather do it but then talks about our fast pace offense getting the next play off in seconds which pretty much gives the reasoning why they would rather help another team try to beat us...we wouldn't give them as much time to read the signals and make adjustments.

I think it's obvious that someone on Michigan's staff gave South Carolina the signals hoping it might help them pull off the upset and it worked better than they ever expected.

IIRC, the conspiracy was not that Conner Stallions gave TN's signals to USCJr, it was that another coach on the Michigan staff gave the signals to USCJr because he had previous ties to them. Also the reason for giving the signals was because Michigan was in competition with TN and Clemson to even get into the playoffs. They needed TN and Clemson to lose before the playoffs. Conner Stallions made it seem he would rather Michigan play TN themselves if he already had TN signals. It was more likely that only 1 of TN, Clemson or Michigan would even get in the playoffs.
USCe knew what Michigan was doing. I am sure they knew exactly how they were doing it too. No doubt in my mind that they had our defensive signals. Even if stalyns & UM didnt give up our signals, I believe they got them on their own.

No way in hades do they magically wear defensive wristbands during the UT & Clem games, proceed to beat the dog piss out of both teams and then never use the wristbands again. They cheated. Why would you never use something again if it was a huge part of your biggest wins in years?

They either got the signals from UM or they got them on their own, the same way UM did. I can not be convinced otherwise.

Send a microwave (or an Applebees gift card) and clear your conscious. Go Vols!

A third wedding should be a courthouse type of wedding. Tell him you'll catch the next one.

They beat Clemson by 1 point, 31-30 in a game they trailed until the 4Q. Only beat the dog piss out of Vols.

Also their D wearing wristbands didn’t do much. We scored 38 points. But couldn’t stop Rattler from dropping dimes all game.

That's a beating for Clemson too, especially since Clemson knew they were cheating by that point and couldn't stop them.

That USCe defense was like Swiss cheese. We would've scored 80 on them if they weren't cheating.
