Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

unfortunately I think the only way we are beating Ga is if most of our team is back and healthy, and it's not looking good at this point. If we had everyone (Hobbs/McCoy/Gibson/Moi, etc) back, I think we spank the pups.
Georgia lost their starting RG (ankle) and starting RT (lower body stiffness?) on Saturday

We are playing Georgia at a great time. Earlier the better. A loss doesn’t seem as bad in November as long you take care of business then. A win is still effective for you because you know Georgia will have a good season. Also, Georgia usually has a slip up game early in the year. Kentucky last year and I think Missouri the year before. They will usually have a game early in the year where they don’t look like Georgia. Let’s hope that’s the case in 2 weeks.

Part of that slip up is prob bc they don’t respect Mizzou or UK. Vols will have their full attention. But agree it’s a good time to catch them.

The gata and cocks are way too high. Can't wait to see them get crushed.
I think Florida St. is too high as well...Went from "unranked" to #14 for beating a Bama squad that just didn't seem to be good. Early upsets can be overvalued at times. Bama just did not look good at all.

UGA is going to be pretty one dimensional.

If we can stop their running game we will win.

The issue is if we can’t they will eat clock and score. A horrible recipe for us.
I am going to the game and I can’t be more excited. Dad and I’s first game. I’m going to be so freaking loud I’ll need esophageal surgery after and I hope everyone else has that mindset. Stockton has never played an SEC road game and I think if we can rattle him we have got a dang good chance.

Up 2 spots to 22...Partly because not many of the teams in front of us lost.

Biggest surprise to me was LSU jumping from 9th to 3rd (ahead of Georgia) and Texas falling from 1st to 7th.

1. Ohio State (up 2)
2. Penn State (stayed same)
3. LSU (up 6)
4. Georgia (up 1)
5. Miami (up 5)
6. Oregon (up 1)
7. Texas (down 6)
8. Clemson (down 4)
9. Notre Dame (down 3)
10. South Carolina (up 3)

FSU from unranked to 14th (what a joke)

Do love seeing Bama drop from 8th to 21st... (stayed in front of us though, because of course)

SMU wins and drops a place, Arizona State wins and drops a spot

LSU beating the 4th ranked team on the road guaranteed a big jump....not surprised at all.

How the hell is South Carolina 12 spots better than us.

Voters like…

The same people who get up on tv and write in the newspapers and are wrong about almost everything, they are voting in the AP poll. At the end of the year they will be traded for Condoleezza Rice, Martha Stewart, and the ad from Rutgers.

No he wasn’t gonna get any better. He and his daddy were too busy trying to extort the coaching staff for more money and place blame for all his failures on anyone and everyone but nico, to be worried bothered with trying to actually get better.
It was the same old thing. With no pressure, routes on air, Nico had excellent mechanics and form. Live speed that all went out the window, he could not process quick enough and had no ability to sense pressure. UCLA will have to do what Heup did last year, slow it and dumb it down.

I don’t even think Tennessee has scored 52 points total on Georgia the last 4 years. Hopefully that changes this year though. We’ll all be looking forward to it
I take this back, Tennessee has scored 57 points vs Georgia the last 4 years. For 14.25 PPG. Cheers for a good 30+ point performance that is long overdue

It's overcast quite a bit in the winter but it's plenty sunny during the summer. Way prettier than Alabama. Zero contest.
It's definitely better than Bama, but it's absolutely not sunny in the summer. The "days of sun" statistic is misleading for Seattle (and in general, it's a hotly disputed stat). I've spent many summer days there over the course of many years, it's an incredibly dreary place even in summer but especially out of summer. It's almost an oppressive cloudiness that people who didn't grow up there often times can't tolerate.

But ya, anything is better than Bama except maybe Mississippi.

I don’t think you’re getting it… it’s the Tenn/Bama 2022 score. Ending the drought… don’t actually think anyone thinks that will be the score.

Crap like this is a reminder of two things:
- Early season polls are useless and have no consequence
- Many human beings, even supposed experts in their field, are poor decision makers who should not be allowed to vote, much less procreate.
