Every coach says they had a good week of practice before the game. Saban is about the only coach I can think of who has said the opposite, and even that is just mind games.

Bringing in a bunch of media people over the summer and gassing your team up, that's bad though. You get into the prediction business as a coach, you're gonna make yourself look like you don't know what you're doing. Just like Dooley "You're not gonna have Tennessee to kick around any more". No one made him say that and then he looked like a doofus.

Deboer is in over his head. I think he's like Chris Peterson. Good coach. Not built to coach a perennial contender. Not built for the fanbase, expectations, or dealing with a team of high maintenance 5 stars.

I believe the games that matter/tough in conference games, Georgia, Bama, Oklahoma, and Florida we might have to score 40 to win given some defensive injuries. I think our offense can score better this year and our defense may give up more. I don't think that's an overreaction.

Meant for the recruiting part of your post. Won’t believe they won’t recruit at an elite level until I see it.

If they go 8-4 or worse with ALL that talent, the negative recruiting machines around the country gonna go brrrrrr.

Pretty much guarantees Gibson coming back next year. He had a shoulder injury in camp so it’s obviously a problem. McCoy and Hood may be a better combo anyways and Redmond spelling them.

Don't think we will see Gibson at a full 100% at any point during this season.

I saw the play he was injured. It was the 4th and 10 that they completed to Cook over the middle at our 5. Gibson tackled and pulled him down with his left arm. He grabbed his shoulder afterwards. Makes me think separated shoulder/sprain??

I don't like that they're a good FCS team and we are banged up.

Some of these playoff caliber FCS teams are like good G5 teams.

They may not be talented, but they're well coached, so they execute well. They could hang around too long. We need a 28 point 1st quarter and get our starters off the field as fast as possible.

Kind of a no win for Heupel. Folks complained that we didn't give younger guys minutes. Gives everyone minutes in a P4 OOC and now we're concerned that the defense isn't very good.

I’m pulling for Arch. That’s the only reason I’m going for Texas.

You can root for Arch and against the longhorns all at the same time. I want him to have a great season and yet for the longhorns to win no more than 4 games.

The longhorn fans are on the same level of delusional grandeur as ohio state, michigan, bama gators and miami fans. Cannot stand any of these fans.

My son (age 5) said it best when a longhorn fan neighbor tried to get him to root for the longhorns. Neighbors are obnoxious longhorn fans.
My son’s response: We don’t root for cows, we eat them!
They had no answer. Damn longhorn fans got schooled by a 5 year old!
