Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

Thinking about defense yesterday, I don't think it was as bad as some made out. Especially when you factor in our front guys kept going down with injuries. That affected QB pressure, which makes things more difficult for the LBs and secondary. Everything starts in the trenches.

Or blaming it on Heupel, when, in reality, Heupel had those guys playing way above their own ceiling. People are gonna start realizing that Heupel is a huge reason for our player's personal success and not the other way around.
Which is exactly what we all said we were desperate for in a coach when we knew we'd need coaching to bring the success before we could get talent. We were praying for the answer to our chicken/egg rebuild dilemma.

Agreed. There were stretches in that game where our defense looked absolutely dominant. And stretched they didn't.

I think, if healthy, we're closer to the former than the latter.

Glad we have a pay day game next week.

I can’t wait to hear about how “meemaw” or his “model” was wrong and not take any accountability for it. Not just for us, but his takes on Alabama and Texas all offseason

This is coming from someone who actually likes his show
He really sucks up to them. Didn’t someone buy his show?

I used to love the show. I can’t put my finger on what changed, but I just don’t like him much anymore.

We have to close out. Those fourth down conversions aren't acceptable heading into sec play.
