It never made sense when Pate and Cubelic were screaming ab that
All bc they didnt know any of the players they assumed they sucked. Hell even AP tried to tell Cole hey the staff loves this OL and he still wouldnt buy it. Pate prob could not name 1 of our OL but he said they werent good lol
I do agree it had some to do with players going down, no McCoy, thin DL, etc.We were playing guys that normally wouldn’t be on the field. I think it was bc of players going down and that we felt we hand the game in hand.
In both of those games yesterday I saw offenses that will get better.OSU only gained 215 yards all day. Def not the same offense we had to face. Don't see them repeating unless they can turn on the jets again at the end.
Maybe both teams are just that good and canceled each other out, but them and TEX don't impress me 'a much.
Same for LSU and Clemson. Meh.
Feels pretty wide open right now tbh.
It was 10x worse than soccer yesterday. And yeah, it was a bit of both sides tbh. But that one by Cuse was downright embarrassing and 100% should have been penalized.I was there and they did.
It was painful to watch live.
My girls grew quite bored and said at one point they liked going to Braves games better because the games moved at a faster pace
Football has got to do something about pace of play - that was a painfully long game with all the replays, commercials, fake injuries, etc
*Leaky T-TopsY'all remember everyone b*tching last year about "Why are we being so conservative?! Let Nico loose! Let him sling it! We're going to lose this game if we keep sitting on our heels like this! Why is Heup content to just let the defense win games he's supposed to be an offensive mastermind and he's got a Farrari at QB!?"
Yeah... I think we've got enough data to stop questioning his coaching decisions and trust there's a GOOD reason for everything he does. Turns out the Farrari was a Camaro with a salvaged title and a rattle can paint job.
- Elevated Hendon Hooker's play above Virginia Tech and his NFL performance thus far.
- Elevated Joe Milton's play above Michigan (he's looking solid in the NFL).
- Elevated Nico above his UCLA performance thus far (or at least, the team performed well in spite of Nico).
- Elevated or maintained Joey Aguilar to App State production thus far.
They had a really good scheme and an accurate passer.Gonna give that QB at Syracuse some love...he made some great throws and he was a lot better than I thought he would be.
Or blaming it on Heupel, when, in reality, Heupel had those guys playing way above their own ceiling. People are gonna start realizing that Heupel is a huge reason for our player's personal success and not the other way around.Maybe in the 6th round
the dude just can't process well enough and has no feel!
It's amazing how it just won't click with some guys. Look how Joey had those three on the move TD passes (one that was called back). Fluidly flipping the ball on the run to Star Thomas.
For whatever reason...Nico and Joe Milton just can't mentally and physically do that. There is some inexplicable disconnect...or they're dumb...or stubborn. Everything they do is mechanical. It really blows my mind how they can't just be fluid with their movement and have touch.
Nico would have sucked this year and everyone would have ended up hating him anyway, or would joke about him like Joe Milton.
Don't overlook what tx defense did. They played great.Lsu hype will be a little gross. Texas is a weird one. I don't think Arch is great, but against inferior competition they'll be fine. Not many teams can do defensively what OSU did. TX has too much talent.
