I think it’s illogical to believe that an SEC officiating crew is going to look to always favor an SEC team. Home field advantage is a stronger influence, IMO, and if anything the SEC crew is probably more likely to do stupid things to prove they aren’t biased.

That doesn't make any sense. If SEC officials were inclined to he prejudiced towards one team, it would likely be in favor of the team that's in the conference that signs their checks.

The more logical explanation for that botched call is that SEC officiating is inept.

Nevermind the fact that the play was being reviewed by guys that are hundreds of miles away from the stadium where the game is being played.

Sorry, that probably came off harsher than intended. It's less about your post, and more that I've basically read that exact same sentiment like 20+ times today, I've been so confused where it came from all day.
