Just remember, fellas, Josh Pate picked us to lose today. We were barely ranked going into this matchup and have been completely written off in playoff discussion because we lost a QB who was never that good to begin with.


Our game was inexplicably turned off to some channel I didn’t even know existed just to show the Bama game. These pundits and media want us to stay down so bad they can’t freaking stand it.

Josh Pate, in fact, did NOT pick us to lose. Why do people keep saying this? Why are people completely incapable of hearing what is said and instead hearing what they want?

He said he expected us to win. He said he likes the Syracuse coaching staff a lot, and they play hard. That combined with the unknowns for both teams and the typical week 1 sloppiness, he thought 14 points was too much and he picked them to cover. He gave the 'upset alert' a 6/10 which for him means TN probably wins, but an upset wouldn't be shocking.

Apparently that means he hates us and he's a sell out to some people.

Yeah, I'll take UT and the points means you take them to cover the spread one way or another. If you say "I take Tennessee outright" it means to win.

He also basically said we have less competitive spirit than syracuse and “he didnt care who they lost” but then pointed out everyone we lost. It rubs people the wrong way when big platform people have lazy takes esp when they overemphasize certain points to make their argument look better

Oh I don’t disagree. Like I said, not a big Josh pate fan (I used to be but he sucks now). I was just pointing out that he didn’t pick us to lose like was previously stated.
