Kansas state (ranked 7 spots ahead of us in the preseason) losing to north Dakota late in the game.

I heard some radio guys say it would be a contest because KState and Iowa State were returning from Ireland to play decent FCS teams. Iowa State took care of business.

The game was not over. Credit to Syracuse as they kept converting on 4th down but it was criminal that we didn’t defend a slant coming out of halftime

Just remember, fellas, Josh Pate picked us to lose today. We were barely ranked going into this matchup and have been completely written off in playoff discussion because we lost a QB who was never that good to begin with.


Our game was inexplicably turned off to some channel I didn’t even know existed just to show the Bama game. These pundits and media want us to stay down so bad they can’t freaking stand it.

I’m not a Josh pate fan but he had us as a 6/10 on his upset alert meter. He actually picked us to win and I think he had us covering also but I’m not 100% on that. He did say he was concerned though. He did not pick us to lose though.

Ya I don't think he was going to the ground when he caught it, so he doesn't need to maintain control to the ground. It was close, but way too close to overturn.

He also basically said we have less competitive spirit than syracuse and “he didnt care who they lost” but then pointed out everyone we lost. It rubs people the wrong way when big platform people have lazy takes esp when they overemphasize certain points to make their argument look better. It creates and furthers a narrative being spun that just isnt true at all.

Which is what he did.

Also he didnt pick us to cover. He said the spread was wrong and his was like 9.5 or 10. Just nonsense stuff.
