I think one of the biggest things is Mateers says from last year are pretty good. Meanwhile JA led the national in INTs and his stats were not as good as they were in 2023.Why is it that their are questions surrounding Joey Aguilar moving up in competition from The Sunbelt to The SEC, but John Mateer is going to tear up The SEC and be the savior of Oklahoma football when his only year as a starter so far has been against Mountain West competition?
31-17 last year and we led damn near the entire first half. UGA went up 24-17 with 5:32 left in the 3rd and didn’t score the other TD until 2:26 left in the 4th. But okI’m not sure we’re as good as anyone now. Lining up against Ohio State showed the talent differential. It was obvious fairly quickly. It has pretty much been the same against UGA. We really haven’t been competitive against them but not many others have either.
