Still averaged 5.0 YPC too despite this.

If I’m picking a favorite it’s Barry. But if I’m a GM trying to build a SB level team… hard to not say Jim Brown or Walter Payton.

I also think “in their primes” Eric Dickerson & Adrian Peterson are two of the most amazing RBs to ever play.

Emmitt is just good at everything. You know he will produce & if you’re committed to running he’s going to be durable. 4400 carries is insane. 600 more than 2nd place and 1500 more than Barry had. 1500 carries is Kamara’s career so far 😳
All good points and agree with all. The best I ever saw was Bo as he was an absolute freak. Hard to say he was the best all time because he didn’t play long because of the terrible injury. But if I had one game I needed to win I would pick Bo. Emmitt was consistent, durable and really good at finding the crease and getting positive yards but rarely made you go wow. For one game I would also consider Earl Campbell. You ought to look at some of his runs in his NFL Career. He has a few that are indescribable. Absolute beast.

I understand it was raining a little bit, but did they also cover the damn footballs in Vaseline?

These teams suck
If both of these teams are truly better than us as their rankings suggest it’s going to be a long year. I know it’s game 1 and raining but the Maryville/Alcoa game last night had better play than this game. These offenses are bad.

I know I've been absent for a little bit but I had reason... As much as it killls me to post this, the love of my life, a man I had been with for 27 years, is gone. We all thought it would happen back in March but he made it to Aug and I'm angry but grateful for it. Half of my soul is gone and IDK if it will ever be replaced but all of you have been such a tremendous support to me and such a large part of the journey that you deserve to know even though all I really want to do is sink inside the deepest hole I can find.

I can't thank you enough for how much you supported us over the years. You might not have known it but Brian was an alum and I just don't have the words to describe how much he meant to me or how much every thought, prayer, and good thought meant to me. I'm shattered and I have no idea what happens next. He was my everything in so many ways. But last night he went into cardiac arrest after his long illness and when I saw him he was brain dead. I was forced to make a decision that no one should ever have to make but I knew he was no longer there this time.

He escaped death so many times and we both received so much love and support here. I am absolutely shattered - half of me is gone - but I'm also grateful for everything VN did for us. Please keep me and him in your thoughts and thank you so much for everything. You have no idea how much you've meant to me these past few years.
Please let us know if you need anything or any type of support.

You're one of the good ones, Prof. Have followed your story for a long time. Reading this was heartbreaking. You did all you could for him for many years. You've been a saint when many would have fled.

Hope you can find peace over time and please keep sharing if it helps. Here's to your Brian being in a better place.

Call me crazy, Bo was an absolute freak but I think had he stuck with Baseball only…would have really set some crazy records.

Earl was a UNIT, 4th & goal give me Earl easily.

I also hope with time LT gets his flowers eventually. One of the most complete RBs of my time. Derrick Henry is another one, Titans really pissed away his first 3 years too, but may have been for the best long term as he seems to still have tread left.

I think they just have no idea how to play in the rain. K State outright refusing to run AJ is....a choice..
