Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

My early years was a bulky console B&W in Bearden, and we got 6&10 on our antenna on a 20 ft mast, but had to catch 26 on a reflection off that ridge that ran through Rocky Hill. Horrible grainy and wavy picture.

Never forget that peacock unfurling before Bonanza on Sunday night on our first color set and that live wrestling on channel 10 featuring the Scuffling Hillbillies and those nasty German guys that somehow could sneak a metal folding chair into the ring and apply it. Did watch some early Dolly Parton on the Cas Walker show too. Got my pea pickin’ heart blessed a lot.
We had an antenna on a rotor and could move it 360 degrees. We lived on a hill in Kingsport and when the weather was right, we could get channels out of Knoxville, Asheville, Spartanburg, Greeneville, and even Charlotte. All were "snowy" but you could see what was going on most of the time. Watched lots of wrasslin on those Carolina channels. 🤣

Nico was not good. Below average QB. If JA is average to below average, we’re gonna be good

While he struggled at times, he moved the ball fine.

He finished 7th (out of 16) in the SEC in QBR out of all games and 6th in the league in conference-only games. He was just a tad above average.

I'm hoping too that we can just find an average qb. Defense and rushing can carry us.

also 5TDs in conf play not counting sorry ass Vandy at the end. Mentally, he just wasnt quick with it.

his QBR might have been "okay" but everyones eyes told them another story.

I don't remember them Scufflin Hillbilies. My earliest memories go back to Rowdy Roddy Piper.

Well, commitments bring the idiots out in force. Some things never change.
Yes, on a miss! As we both know, if you're looking to avoid imbecile posts and trolls in bulk, a recruit "miss" thread is a prime spot to build a large and reliable ignore list at warp speed.

On a commitment, the idiots and trolls go MIA. Or they "well, but..."

Hey now...I lived on a hill in Kinsport (well, Colonial Heights). And we didn't get no damn Antenna. Three to Four channels and be happy ya got that. Thank the lord for my Atari 2600.

Most of our success in the running game comes via our wide splits on offense. We need some of our rbs to prove to be good in the NFL. It will draw more elite players to our program, imo.
Chicken and egg. We need one of those RBs to commit. Then we have hm in the league. The negative recruiting point (already untrue) is then dead.
