*I do think Aguilar is a little better than Merklinger. I also think if we can get past this season, we'll never have to worry about the quarterback position again.... as long as Heupel is here.

I edited a previous post and quoted it for reference. Please read it at your convenience

Who would you have of the 3 QB's on the roster then? A true freshman, a rs freshman with 3 qtrs of experience, or a senior who is the active leader in offense per game in the entire country?

Not sure why there is so much waffle-stomping over this. Seems pretty obvious what we have to work with and who the best option is. Who knows if he'll be all-american, but given the QB situation here, he is the best hope for a successful season. . . I'm just not gonna jump on the doom & gloom train out of the gate is all.

catching up on Arkansas

Mixed emotions for them. Some ready to move beyond Pittman. Going into Year 6 (which is crazy)

Bobby Petrino helped them tremendously as OC last year. Green will be in his second year in this system. He tended to lock in on a WR instead of working through progressions. They think he will be improved

Have added some big guys on OL. Tried to shore up depth. Gave up 36 sacks last season, which has been a point of emphasis. They have a RT named McRoy they got from Oregon who is enormous (6'8+). OL will be better than it was last year.

Lost all of their top WR. OMega Blake is supposed to be their explosive weapon on the outside. Added a lot in portal (like 6 or 7 WR...). Hoping one or some of them can stand out. Nothing to rave about yet. Won't know if they have a game changer until they get the season under way. TEs not looking great.

RB Braylen Russell jumped in then out of the portal. He is supposed to be bell cow RB. Was 250 lbs last year, trying to get to 230 by season. Brought in RB Mike Washington from New Mexico St, who has been a standout/surprise since he got there. They are really excited about Washington. They will likely lean on this RB duo a lot early on.

Have a safety/nickel named Larry Worth they think is NFL. Got some other DBs from the portal to shore up depth, particularly at CB. Also got the #1 CB from JUCO.

DL is a unit that did not get stronger in portal. Needed some depth. No big names this year. DE could be an issue if they have 1-2 injuries. Tried to bring in some guys, but mostly depth pieces in the portal, as the best guys usually stay where they are. Nobody standing out yet.

They will be worse on defense this year. Will need Petrino to lead them through some shootout wins if they're going to win more than they did last year.

They were really messy in the portal. I can't think of another word to describe it but "messy." They lost some of their best guys to Ole Miss and then tried to add more than they lost.

41 out, 31 in. They were up there in portal traffic with programs like Cal, WF, Miss St, Colorado, Louisville, UCLA, Virginia, Ole Miss, Houston, VaTech, Kansas, Kentucky

I'm not sure if that's a great thing for a coach in his 6th year. By now, you'd want to have your veterans leading units, and a foundation of depth built by guys that have been in the program for 3+ years. Plus you have to have immediate cohesion from all these new pieces.

Schedule is going to be tough. This is their key stretch early:

ending the season with this:

I didn't realize how much they dislike Missouri. That rivalry has taken, surprisingly.

6-6 or 7-5 with a frown seems like the consensus.

He won the mizzou game
lol yeah.

and Second half against Kensucky and a couple throws against USCjr

Throwing to 3 starting NFL receivers with an NFL RB.

When he went to Washington State and was a disaster there as well, it confirmed to me that he just caint. He had moments and was a tough fella.

It's Joey Football time now though.

If you happen to get bored and like reading about strange stuff, you can find these declassified CIA documents online by searching "CIA" + one of the titles below. Pretty wild stuff. Apparently human consciousness shapes all of reality. . .

Human Paranormal Capabilities - goes into experiments suggesting humans can influence physical objects and events with thought alone.

Psychic Process, Energy Transfer, and Things That Go Bump in the Night - Breaks down how consciousness can transmit energy beyond the body, affecting people ande them environments at a distance.m online

The Gateway Process - A training manual that lays out how altered states of consciousness (via techniques like meditation and binaural beats) could allow people to access non-physical dimensions and "manifest reality".

The Psychotronic Universe - describes reality as a giant energy-information system where human consciousness can reach beyond time and space, meaning your mind could literally tap into the structure of the universe
Cool concepts but sounds like demon possession to me.
