Don't clutter up our football talk thread where we talk about everything with your "conversation"...@WaywardVol I'm moving our tit-for-tat here, as to not trash up Brandon's thread no more than it already is.
From a glance at your post history, it seems you enjoy wallowing in the muck with us hot-heads as much as anyone. Reality is, you just dont like anyone pushing back on your bullsh!t. "QBing a team is more than just routes on air." That comment is the very definition of condescending. And, you have the nerve to call someone else that?!?!
Whenever you make asinine comments like, "Danny White is a despicable money-grabber, who lies about waiting lists" or "I just know Danny White isn't half the AD people make him out to be"...expect people to not take it kindly. I guess that's just "pathetic homerism", though.
You seem to REALLY "take it personal" whenever everyone is not on their knees with you, slurping Tony Basillio. O Saint Wayward's claws are extra sharp for that "conflict". Yet, people are just supposed to sit back and allow you to call men like Brent Hubbs "lapdogs" and "mouthpieces".
My favorite though is when you called Heupel an "overpaid gym teacher". "Give me $9 million and I could make it work". And, you expected no one to laugh at you?!?!
Once our sons got old enough we'd go to one game a year. My wife would get a discount for certain games from UT Medical Center, which I don't think they do anymore. Me and the boys went to the 2019 South Carolina game, for their 1st time in Neyland. We sat under the jumbotron and they both had plenty of room to stretch out. The youngest one laid down on the bleacher and took a nap in the 4th quarter. In 2021, we went as a family to the Ole Miss "mustard" game. We "sit" at the boundary of the student section, in the South end zone. It was packed and it got wild. My wife and kids were a little scared when the bottles and cans started raining down. I like that we're good and the stadium sells out, I just don't want that fire to be sucked out of Neyland Stadium because you can't get the corporate/big donor crowd to go to all the games. alabama, georgia, and florida should not be the only times Neyland is crazy.Honestly it never even occurred to me to buy tickets. I dont enjoy the games live, unless its in the new big donor area....which I am not. Even then, its loud, time consuming, and hard to watch at times.
My kids are young. No way i'm taking them around a bar atmosphere. No way in hell i'm paying to take them to a bar atmosphere.
If my friend offers to take us, Ill go. But even them I usually turn it down. Life has too many commitments that are more important.
Ill spend my money on baseball, and basektball. And watch football from home.
Meanwhile ETSU has a fantastic stadium, and even has a fantastic baseball team. The doughboys, have a team...![]()

The NCAA==The University Presidents (who sold viewer rights to TV execs, who don't want weakened super-conference competition/viewership/post-season appearances). The NCAA – not NIL – continues to ruin and corrupt college sports.
The NCAA sets a glaring public example of greed, lawlessness, corruption, and hubris.
Meanwhile, they cynically go all out to coax fans into blaming the players.
It makes it harder with digital tickets as well. We use to be able to buy cheap tickets on the street. I have had season tickets since 1992.Once our sons got old enough we'd go to one game a year. My wife would get a discount for certain games from UT Medical Center, which I don't think they do anymore. Me and the boys went to the 2019 South Carolina game, for their 1st time in Neyland. Baseball and basketball is expensive now too. I had season tickets during Pearl's era here, but I've only been to 1 game since he left. I watch everything from home now.
Well, the NCAA after stalling for years to help Michigan just happened to announce on the weekend before The nation’s #1 RB Savion Hiter chooses between TN and MI on Tuesday: no bowl ban, no vacating wins, no scholarship reduction, a fake penalty on recruiting visits (they get reduced on paper a percentage effective only after the new rule makes visits unlimited so it’s incoherent), a huge lot a trifling nothing. So MI fans are out there laughing and calling the NCAA their bish.I’ve been MIA for a few days due to several factors (nothing serious, mostly work related). Can someone given me a brief rundown on the Michigan punishment, or maybe lack there of, and why it affects TN? Seeing lots of posts but don’t feel like googling.
And when the stadium is full of stuck up, snob millionaires on their corporate accounts, the home field advantage will lessen with the quieter crowds!#Soon
*And he'll open it up to the public and charge 1 day admission for $225 and $195 for children. 10% slide fee!!!
Rant incoming:
"Real money" (like I make) doesn't compute in a multi millionaires world. I'm sure Danny has a good heart but the more $$$ a person has/makes, the farther away they get from the reality of what it's like to be middle class, or lower. The life long, local, middle class fans are being pushed out for the "fast pass" elitist crowd. It's been discussed on here a lot and I get it, "big money wins championships", but it's all fan driven in one way or another. The fans saying crap like "pay the man whatever he wants!" and "back up the Brinks truck!" are the ones that put us here. The ones that hung around through the bad times, is the crowd that's either going broke giving to the University now or they've had to quit going to games altogether. To be clear, I want us to be great and win championships. I'll always support the VOLS, I'm just going to do it from home for now.
End rant
