Few musings

George looks great but unfortunately he's just so thin. I don't think he's quite ready to handle a full season physically. Aguilar will definitely be the guy going into game one imo.

Physically the freshman are quite impressive. David Sanders is a man. Brame, Radarious Jackson, Morris, Dye.

Linebackers will be the best we've had in a long time.

No real dynamic playmakers on offense it seems (right now at least).

Secondary will be better if McCoy comes back even close to healthy. DL isn't as twitchy but is really solid.

I'd expect OL to be better than last year. Moe was a good pickup. Pendleton is just a body. Perry will be good. Heard and Warren are in better shape.

QB play is really just a killer right now. Nico (and Carnell Tate) really hosed us as this could've been a real championship caliber team.

Why do you keep saying Pendleton is just a "body" but every where else says he was a good pickup?

Much like a lot of upper management/ salesmen they're just on a different level. Good for Danny..... he knows how to make money, at all costs.

Also.....

I hope this man got an invite to the pool party.....Screenshot_20250816_105228_DuckDuckGo.jpg

That’s one year of Adidas money. It’s not nothing, but for a natty? Seems worth the risk.

Also, my guess is they wouldn’t have dared giving Harbaugh a 10-yr ban if he wasn’t already realistically out of their jurisdiction.
I agree but would say the NCAA would not have had to "dare" anything at all. Because all of football would have supported equal treatment under the rule.

The NCAA had everything they needed to hammer Harbaugh with the ban early in 2023 or 2022. That would have complicated Harbaugh's prissy little ("I'm so clever") exit to the NFL, too. Should have hammered him in a press conference in issuing its decision before he left. That would have made controversial (at the least) an NFL team hiring him.

What the NCAA did "dare" was to rig and delay the investigation and outcome in Michigan's favor. Going so far as to conceal until to this day Michigan's, Harbaugh's, and Wade Manuel's biggest offenses.
, and it doesn’t affect 2025 Michigan at all.
NCAA says "that's a feature, not a bug" and curtsies.

In 2023, Heupel went 8-4 with a less talented roster (particularly in the trenches), a more difficult schedule, and a very limited QB. 9-3 is floor, IMO.
Not to mention, Heupel avg’s 9.2 wins per year here, so even if we in theory have an aberage season, it’s still 9-3

So, Michigan basically gets off with a slap on the wrist,, to no one’s surprise. $20 million fine for a program that can find that in their couch cushions? And in exchange they won a natty and didn’t have a single game vacated?

Agreed with a poster earlier who said with this type of punishment, every single team should be cheating to win. So dumb but totally expected.
And so predictable that everyone with sense has been saying this is exactly what would happen since 2022. That's who the NCAA is.

If the NCAA were ever going to stop aiding and abetting their favorites to cheat with impunity, this was the perfect time and the easiest case ever.

I was a student at Tennessee during that season. I knew both Mark Hovanic and Kelly Ziegler.
Both had the temperament of ‘roid rage. Not saying that they did anabolics, but they were definitely just one step away from violence. That’s the way you want your defensive front 7. 😈

Kelly dated one of my fraternity’s little sisters. She was very sweet, a little naive, and absolutely gorgeous. During parties if she was there, she’d always get hit on. (She never really talked about her boyfriend). My favorite thing to do was to walk up behind the guy hitting on her and quietly whisper in his ear “you’re hitting on Kelly Ziegler’s girlfriend.” It was hilarious to watch the dude’s reaction and then the absolute fear that would overwhelm him. She really thought most of these guys were just being nice and talking to her…😂

My absolute favorite Zeigler story was at an offseason party at our frat house, football players would be bouncers for the alcohol. 99% of the time nothing happened so they got free drinks and we got to hang out with the football team. Well, one party this guy (no clue who he was) crashed the party, he was already drunk. He asked a young lady to dance, she said no. He grabbed her shoulder before she could walk away. She screamed Let me go! Before anyone else could react, Kelly was there behind him. Kelly grabbed him by his belt and neck and just threw him backwards over his head and over the back wall of our frat house patio. The guy bounced on the grass, drunkenly jumped up and ran off, never seen by us again. The drop was about 10 feet from patio level to ground. We asked Kelly if he knew how high the dropoff was? His response was: “who cares. He was causing trouble.”
The band started playing again and it was like nothing ever happened. 😎

Another handy link to have. It is in an LSU affiliated site, but lists all of the TV games during the season. All times listed are central time.

I have 0 clue how many Spanish only UT fans we have, but damn if we ain't winning at that too. Trump should let ice know if they can sing Rocky Top they can stay.

On some night games that don't really matter, my buddies and I will put on the Spanish telecast while watching the game. I gotta say y'all, after you've been drinking all day, it's a really good time. After like 15 millers, you'll be convinced that you can understand Spanish.

The NCAA absolutely refuses to investigate and punish Michigan for their espionage on Tennessee in 2022. The media refuses to tell the truth about it.

If the NCAA acknowledged and penalized what Michigan did, it would be impossible to deny that Michigan corrupted and demeaned – not only that year's playoffs – but the very institution of the CFP.

It would be impossible to use the (dumb and crooked) excuse that Michigan had already been punished by the Big 10. That case was and remains outside of the Big 10.

Meanwhile, the Michigan AD was running the Selection Committee.
