There's literally nothing negative to say about the Adidas deal. We can even go back to pointing out how Nike uses more slave and child labor than any other apparel company.

If you want to complain about design bc of how bad our stuff was just prior to Nike then sure... except the team that designs Vols stuff with Nike is being retained to design the new stuff AND the bad Adidas designs were for a short period. Their stuff prior to Dooley/Butch was fine.
You underestimate the commitment to misery of some of our fans.

In other news, had a little ringneck sunning on my sidewalk yesterday. Handsome fella.

I have a Damascus bladed Bowie knife that is such a work of art that I almost hate to stab people with it! (You can take the Memphian out of Memphis, but you can’t get the Memphis out.) 😳
In my experience, you should be OK if you stab them in soft spots, away from a lot of bone. (Come to think of it, you should be a SME on that.)

So let me get this straight:
  • DW tries to renegotiate the Nike contract.
  • Nike won’t budge because they think we’re only worth $5M a year.
  • Adidas steps in with one of the largest endorsement deals in college history at $20M per year (per DW).
  • Adidas hands full creative control to the Tennessee Athletic Department.
  • Adidas also starts to work on undisclosed NIL deals for current and future Vol athletes, entirely separate from our own NIL program.
And yet… Negavols will still find a way to 💩 on this because they’re convinced the jerseys will somehow suck 😂
@Ulysees E. McGill doesn't call all the losers out for nothing. He's right about the legion of the miserable

To be completely fair to Adidas, the shirts and other items I saw on Miami’s website were actually decent looking, if not better than Nike’s, but the shoes were absolutely horrendous. lol
At least Adidas has some classic/comfortable shoes we can choose from until they figure out whatever they're doing with the current shoes. They have enough classics in whatever colorway or scheme we would need (orange, white, black, grey)

County. Specifically North where their pet project off Emory is more then they thought it'd be
You’ll have to take that up with Mayor Jacobs. I do recall there being some federal money in that one tho.

There will be more coming. Edgemoor will be next between Oak Ridge Hwy and Clinton Hwy. Then Watt and Campbell Station interchanges. Then 40/75. That’s just stuff we’re doing at the state. Idk what else the county and city have cooking.

VN RF. One stop shop for knowledge on every subject.

I get it, to some degree. Most casual fans are thinking about:

A. They remember the way our uniforms looked
and/or
B. How the fan apparel was that they could buy

Both were terrible. So I get why people would be a little iffy about going back, although I'm sure it's better than it was then.
Respectfully, IDGAF what some “fans” think about old Adidas UT merch and unis when Adidas is willing to pony up this type of $ and support. The NIL support alone will be a massive selling point.

I have no doubt that these are the same “fans” that complain UT doesn’t have $ or $ to compete in NIL.
