I hope I'm wrong. We have really talented team that I think with above average QB play can get us to 9-3 and good QB play to 10-2. Just no way to say that losing Nico in the spring was anything but devastating for 2025. Maybe long-term a benefit but not right now.

My opinion: don’t think we have to have great qb play to be competitive enough to make playoffs. And in this system, find it hard to believe heupel wont be able to put an above average or good qb on the field, regardless of the jimmies and joes on roster. In fact, I would say he’s never had a season where he didn’t at least get above average play. And if we can’t get that, halzle might need to go.

I could easily see us going 8-4 with poor qb play, but my expectation is not too different a team from last year. Losing Sampson leadership not great, otherwise I like our guys. And if we have wide receiver injury bug then yeah we could definitely go less than 8-4 being one dimensional with poor qb play, but I’m optimistic these guys put it together enough by end of camp to have us looking at a 9-3 season or better.

I don’t think Josh's seat would get warm over 7-5, but the conversation to hire a GM should get nuclear after watching the Nico and WR situation.

Oh I could see that sold 7-5 happened. I think we are at the point where 7-5 is unacceptable, and there’s no excuse for it that doesn’t land at the feet of the hbc. And also at the point that if a 7-5 happened, it’s enough of a step back that the next year would need to be a big improvement to keep the job so as not to risk losing talent in the next class. You gotta keep building up. You can take one step back and two steps forward, but you can’t take two steps back, and you can’t take two steps back and not have a giant leap forward the next year. The standard at Tennessee is competing for championships, as vocalized by both Josh Heupel and Danny White. Championship rosters don’t go 7-5. Everyone’s on the same page there about expectations.

Please!! He can't help who his parents are. I guarantee you he's not the only player on the roster with family members who are a problem. I would hope we would be adults and not give her a stage nor trash a player because of their parents.

Yeah, seems like if i remember correctly CU had 4 players drafted, same as UT

Was gonna be bad enough starting the season with Nico and a bunch of inexperienced young WR's (Heup and Co chose this), and I was hoping JA would come in and get some chemistry going and gel with the WR's we have, but unfortunately it's looking like this isn't gonna happen anytime soon, and with basically a new OL, the only thing that will save us from going worse than 7-5 will be how much our defense steps up and saves us... If our WR's get hurt/dinged up like last season, Heup may have to hold open tryouts in the middle of the season...

If we can finally get some experienced and/or elite WR's, the Oline will be more experienced, next season should be night and day...

I’m not this negative on the season but I’ve been holding steady in my expectation that this is an 8-4 rebuilding year. A few fun wins, some disappointing losses, a decent bowl game and on to 2026.

Started hauling hay at age 11 did it till I was 18, every summer. You don’t know heat until you load hay into a hayloft

I used to start seeing stars after getting so hot and sweating so much, but kept going. Stacking 6-7 high with a cap in 95 degree heat, then unloading it in the barn is the kind of work that puts hair on your chest.

Have you ever met TN fans? 1/3 of our fanbase wanted him fired after the USC debacle 3 years ago with Hooker. If we go 7-5, regardless of the reasonings, his seat will be hotter than the sun.
