He has a lot of leverage no doubt. It will be interesting to watch. He already micromanages the offense. I just worry about him getting stretched too thin and also not getting enough new ideas or outside perspectives. That's one aspect I've liked about Rick. As his career has progressed he's opened up to more people managing more aspects.
Going to the playoffs isn’t impressive with a R-Fr qb lol got itYea outside of his first two years here I’ve not been impressed since…sad to watch…i remember his first presser getting hired here and he’s lost his vision in my opinion we don’t see that kind of offense anymore…the excuse every time though is QB play…like so what?!?..run it and coach up after that you’ll never know unless you open the playbook up.
Kids today will never know what it's like to run a meat-grinder pedal up the back of their leg or land so hard on the cross bar it feels like their ass is in the back of their throat,![]()
We are the home team in Atlanta.Does this mean we are the home team in Atlanta? Or ESPN just threw something out there. I've been wondering. I would love to see our orange jerseys! GB!

It would sorta be cool if Syracuse wore blue. UTsports:

Not sure what you think you know, but if he came in and got worse, would be the only reason he isn’t going to be a good starter for us, because again that ND OL was one of the tops in the country and he played almost every snap for them. So either you have no clue what you are talking about or somehow someway he came here and has gotten progressively worse. So which is it?
We can all debate the merits of PFF but it's directionally accurate. You can see here snaps on O and grade vs. different teams. He was one of their lower rated guys in the games he played and so got benched when Billy Schrauth came back.View attachment 762681
No?!?! No way!!! Not the fanbase who is talking, right now, at this very moment, about hot seats and GMs and 7-5...as their team has gone 37-15, 20-12 (SEC) since Heupel stepped into the sh!t-pit; 30-9 in the last 3 years, with an Orange Bowl win and Playoff appearance. Surely, not that fanbase??Fanbase too stupid to leave it be
I honestly think people are overlooking CJH’s ability to scheme around his teams shortcomings. We all want the 22 season every year but coach can see we don’t have the players/QB.for those of you negas thinking 7-5 is really possible, do you expect Heupel’s seat to start getting warm then? Because it would be.
8-4 is the floor. 9-3 is what we’ll be. 10-2 the ceiling.

After that first game against Old Dominion o thought they were a 5 win team. They did improve greatly on offense and Defense carried them all yearUSCe went 9-3 last season and almost made the playoffs with a RS Fr QB. More dynamic than what we have back there but still. He threw for 250+ yards TWO times in the regular season (vs Mizzou and Wofford).
Their leading receiver was a TE followed by a true SO and true FR, then a RB.
NC out of the question but this squad can still be very successful.
I don't think so. Everyone knows what a wreck we were and he got us to the playoffs in y4. Everyone knows we were screwed by nico and Heupel did the right thing cutting him loose. If he goes 7-5 back-2-back, then he'll be getting some heat.Going from the playoffs in year 4 to the same record as year 1 in a much worse roster situation would definitely put a little warmth under the seat imo (not by me)
The practice reports have been brutal this year. Media gets limited time so they all report on who's missing and then routes on air. Would be nice if the media worked together and tried to cover different position groups in the short period of time they get.In defense of @UTSuave’ you can be more than ecstatic with our progress year over year and still see the decline of the offense in the same period.
In defense of my own post I can be ecstatic about our overall progress and still wonder what the roster might look like at scrimmage one if coach had an independent GM. Causal fans aren't the only people asking about a GM either. Most successful schools have them.
All the prior coaches didn't teach me to just be grateful for wins. They also taught me that all coaches have vulnerabilities to watch for.
Josh has done nothing to lose my confidence he will win big, but we'd all be fools to think we'll have as explosive of an offense this season as before Golesh left. Nothing since Golesh left has pointed to that trend. That's not me pining for Golesh either that's just the last HC level mind that was helping Heup. The closest HC level mind we have now is Banks...and we see that sides trajectory.
