-HubbsSounds like offensively they ran it pretty well at times. The passing game was certainly inconsistent.
Sam Pendleton scrimmaged but is limited as he has been banged up. Overall the offensive line was pretty solid. Caleb Herring made some plays off the edge and as Heupel said post scrimmage. Edwin Spillman made some plays.
At running back Star Thomas took advantage of his opportunities and had a nice day.
Brahme is going to be a good player. Those young tight ends are going to be good players for sure.
Boo Carter fielded punts but didn't do team defensive notes.
Agreed. I really think we will be the same kind of team this year just based on who we have. A lot of 12 personnel, run the ball, use our depth at TE, and play good defense. It won us 10 games last year.If Defense, O line and run game are strong I am not worried at all.
That is the best possible outcome.
The rest will improve.
Aguilar has a history of throwing pics and I think that's what we're getting with him. I don't think Heupel can coach the turnovers out of him. He's got a good arm but he'll will throw it to anybody on the field.... offense or defense.Just a friendly reminder. It was the first fall scrimmage, and sounds like quite a few players were out. Aguilar’s first scrimmage with team. He will almost certainly get better.
I KNOW y’all want to, but….. don’t panic
i was just thinking man its gonna be a sense of relief for the offense when they are playing so many of these teams on the schedule who arent on our level defensively. It sounds like 1998 to me.
Okay, not exactly, but as some have alluded, it's possible the defense is really, really good and that's going to make the offense appear worse than it actually is.

The good news, Heupel isn't destroying the program like I think Pruitt was trying to do. CJH will play our best/most consistent QB this season.
Really hope it’s Carter and Spillman for first team. Dudes are just beastsSome more tidbits coming out of the scrimmage. Starting O-line looked good in the run game but really struggled with pass pro. Edwin Spillman flashed, making multiple plays behind the line of scrimmage. Radarius Jackson also flashed. Boo Carter played.
