Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

AP is a mouthpiece and spews what coaches want him to. He did it with Pruitt and he does it for Heupel. He will always do it to keep getting info and be close to the coaches. Don’t always take what he says as always 100% fact as the coaches like some info out that may not be true.
How can 50-50 be any less factual? Its true we have a 50% shot.

Random but I’m watching Bernard King on an old Miami Vice where he plays, imagine this, a basketball player!

His dad who’s a judge is asking him to throw a game because of gambling debts! His dad is being played by Bill Russell!

Now back to your regular topic. lol

Have you seen Fast Break est. 1979?
It starred Gabe Kaplan and Bernard King had a role as a basketball player called Hustler.
It was cheesy as I recall, but I was a BK fan so I sat through it.

Got some new flip-flops. Not sure I like how tight they are. . .

Used to be an older gentleman that swam at the pool growing up. He looked in a lot of pain, so I would talk to him from time to time.

He had solid discoloration on all his toenails. I asked him what had happened. And he said as a young boy he had suffered really bad frost bite. Not sure if that were true, but you never know someone's issue.

Looks painful.

Only on VN is insider status simultaneously a reason to believe what someone is saying, AND a reason NOT to believe what they're saying lol. It's almost like people will just believe whatever they want to believe.

Can't really recall a single time we've gotten any relevant insight from Ainge, Swain, Kyler Kerbyson... Any of the VFL media guys who get to see more of practice. On the other hand, VQ breaks news and puts up correct predictions routinely. So I think history is on my side with this one, pointless psy-ops from the coaching staff not withstanding.

That's true of any media member with decent sources. Half of what gets reported in all arenas is what someone wanted us to hear.

So, in 2 years? I’d prob give him a minute. It also takes the right talent.

Lincoln Riley is considered a QB whisperer. Go check USC’s QB stats from last season.
Agreed that two years does not prove or disprove him being a 'whisperer' here. I was surprised last year that Nico seemed to still have a long way to go after sitting out a year. Joe Milton? Could just be a Joe Milton thing but I never saw that guy put it together in the passing game (eye test, overthrows, etc). And of course, Milton was Heupel's guy over Hooker going in to that first season. With all that said, at Tennessee, I'd say we need more 'data'. I'm hopeful and if this year's QB lights it up, we're going to be tough to beat.
