In the discussion of changes to the offense this year, some have mentioned a return to fast tempo and chucking it downfield more. People have mentioned Nico’s struggles with both things (going super fast/deep throws). I was always amazed that they were using the helmet communication with him last year and for the full 15 allowed seconds each time. It was like, totally contrary to every bit of offensive mojo Heupel had displayed in previous years. Like they had to talk him through each set. Just made me yearn for Hendon Hooker walking up to the line and having the ball snapped in 2.3 seconds.

Hope we can get back to that.
