**** it, today got me hype. My way too early (& bloated) 2/3 deep:
(Starter/ Backup)
QB: Aguilar / Merk OR Gmac
RB: Bishop OR Lewis / Star (Morris gets limited 4th back reps)
TE: Kitselman OR Davis / Brame
WR: Brazzell / Smith
WR: Matthews / Rad Jackson
WR: Staley / Dodson OR Jefferson
LT: Heard / Warren
LG: Pendleton / Umarov OR Anderson
C: Satterwhite / Anderson OR Pendleton
RG: Moe / Perry OR Ginther
RT: Sanders / Warren OR J Heard
EDGE: Josephs / Herring OR Ross
DT: Moi / Hobbs
DT: Eason / Bailey / Wallace
SDE: West / Weathersby / Schell OR Robinson
LB: Carter / Burns OR J Harmon
LB: Telander / Spillman / Bolton
STAR: Boo / Hood / Poteat OR Goree
CB: Gibson / McMurray / Goree
CB: Hood / McMurray / Poteat
S: Turrentine / Wright OR Beasley
S: Farooq / Beasley
PR: B Harmon / Morris
KR: Morris / Poteat OR B Harmon
P: Ross
K: Gilbert
LS: Brady
Poteat will be a stud for us. Him & Goree will contribute meaningfully if Boo doesn't return. Still will get plenty of reps either way. McCoy back by UGA. Couple freshman I left out that will contribute (Campbell, Dye, Perlotte, Milton boys) but my 3 deep is already too bloated. Nice looking depth chart IMO.
Very nice.
With that...Ethan Davis needs to break out this year. Kitselman is #1; but, Davis needs to be a legit playmaker for us.
While yes, the numbers are thin, there's ridiculous talent and speed in our WR room. I like our OL, too...believe we'll be OK into our depth, within reason, cant drop like flies.
I love Dylan Sampson, and he could take it to the house from 75 his So year, and I believe he still can; however, we didn't see many EXPLOSIVE runs last year, or even the year before that. Peyton Lewis needs to be that guy. If he's not, I'd like to see more of Morris.
What kind of QB play are we going to get? While I'm optimistic, it is a GIGANTIC unknown.
Our defensive front is insane.
So young at LB; but, just like WR room, talent and speed. But very young, outside Carter and Telander.
I'll feel much better whenever McCoy returns, of course. Excited to see what Hood can do! We have numbers in the secondary...young, though, especially at S. Time for Farooq and Beasley to step up, and for Turrentine to somewhat live up...while I dont expect him to be All SEC, I do expect better.
Maybe a stupid question...I wonder if Jadon Perlotte can play S? If I'm not mistaken, i believe he did in HS a bit. He's 6'4. How fast is he?
Would love to see Morris returning kicks and punts.
