He does, I’m not disputing that. But I also know he really wants to be with his son. So I can see a world where this is a way to “retire with grace”, but ultimately end up in Tampa.

Seattle, like most large cities had good parts and rough parts. We were in the good parts mainly and still saw dozens of hunched people whacked out on drugs. It was heartbreaking. But you see that in a lot of major cities.

I’d rather go in winter than summer. Mosquitoes there are insane. Huge and there’s trillions of them. Never seen anything like it even in the south

Considering it is a rain forest and rains about 2 out of every 3 days, the skeeters were not a problem. We even had 2 out of 4 days of Port calls that we had sunshine...still no skeeters. Plus the whales aren't there in the winter. They migrate to warmer waters to have their calves. I haven't been in the winter, so I can't say with 100% that summer is better, but we had an amazing experience.

Yep. Built one at the old house on top of an existing patio. Word of caution is to make sure you don’t go too long between posts. A 10’x10’ or 12’x12’ should be fine. Don’t want too much weight on one post or the patio can’t take it.

Also, make it to where you can put a cover on the top if you want it more weatherproof.

Last, highly recommend cedar. Head to Grant Cedar Mill. They can cut you whatever you want if you call ahead of time. They don’t usually have boards or posts longer than 8’ but they can get it if you call.

For any of the VN golfers or anyone looking for a good series that doesn’t take too long to watch, I highly recommend watching “Stick” on Apple TV.
Great storyline and perfectly cast characters. Owen Wilson is perfect in his role.
10 episodes at 30 minutes each is easy to binge.
Just an FYI. Last episode released last week so you don’t have to wait like we did.

Just saw the Deion rumors that he has a press conference scheduled for tomorrow and could possibly be stepping down as Colorado's coach. Seems to be having health issues, but the more cynical are saying that's just an excuse to get out after his sons and Hunter went pro. I'd lean more toward health issues.

Must be why Boo changed his mind and is coming back to UT...

We have never been on a cruise and went on the Norwegian Bliss. Big boat from the others I saw. I stood out on deck and holler at the other ships that mine was bigger than theirs was but the security team escorted me back inside and back to my room.

Wife's uncle is former Army brass, he and their family have lived in Seattle for 40-50 years. Always enjoy their 'different-than-mine' perspectives on what works, and doesnt.

Much in same realm that some people in S are a certain way bc others are a certain way, so is this setup.

My sister lived in Seattle in the late 70s, and I went out to visit. I thought it was a wonderful place, and thought about moving there ... but at the time I had trouble finding sweet tea and corn bread, and everybody talked like yankees, so I didn't.

That photo of a clear Denali is really hard to get...you guys got really lucky...especially that early in the season...good stuff.

I have talked to a lot of people that have been up there 3 or more times at different times of the season..and still haven't been able to see the mountain.
