Also I appreciate your comparison of Faulkner to pro wrestling. That was dare I say, enlightening. You just know that on July 6, 1962, somebody/somewhere said, "The Sound and the Fury was a piece of sh!t." And someone nearby, who heard it, thought, "...victory is an illusion of philosophers and fools".
I haven't given much thought to most philosophy in 20 years, so I can't speak properly of it; but, I do have a question. What if you're a fool, newt?
Loved, The Cracks That Held, btw. Ordered, Day Moon Howl, before I was finished. Congratulations on taking a sh!t all over a fan.
My son, grandson and I are going. My son bought me the ticket for my 66th birthdayDoesn’t sound like Boo wants to be here or his teammates want him here. He’s caused a problem for himself that it doesn’t look like he can come back from. Not the kind of teammate you want. I’m supporting the guys who want to be here.
OT Anyone going to the Braves/Reds game in Bristol at the Speedway?
Isn’t that a metal band? Think their singer also put a hit out on his wife lolAfter completing the complexity that is As I Lay Dying and a guy craps all over it:

I’ll bet we see it sooner rather than later and it will be the norm. NIL came so fast and schools adjusted as quick as they could but it’s been mainly one sided. Eventually, these schools are going to start enforcing contracts, having spending limits, and more rules to help regulate the market. It’s the Wild West right now and the players have all the power. Schools and the NCAA are too big and have too much money to keep getting bent over. Eventually they will fight back and we will come to a more balanced approach. I’ll give it three years or so. Tennessee is too big and such a powerful brand to lose it’s starting QB to UCLA and top ten player to Colorado. That’s just embarrassing to be honest. It’s been said before, but if you start suing players for money back when no other schools do, it only hurts you in the long run with recruiting.
There cant be any way we are signing significant guaranteed money to 18-21 yr olds who can bolt at any second. We could, but likely won't
Its already happening. Didn't Arkansas sue Madden Iamaleava?I’ll bet we see it sooner rather than later and it will be the norm. Clemson and NC State are more natural fits in the SEC than SoCar and UNC imo. Here's my logic:
Most of the SEC are land-grants with some exceptions: Vandy, Ole Miss, Bama (however Bama did receive a grant of land from the Feds), Oklahoma, Texas, and South Carolina. All the other SEC schools are Morrill Act schools.
Clemson, Virginia Tech, and NC State are also Morrill Act schools.
If you look at the ACC, they're historically mostly liberal arts and private schools: FSU, Louisville, Miami, GT, Duke, UNC, BC, Pitt, UVA, Syracuse and Wake. Add SMU, Notre Dame, and Stanford to that list.
So for SEC currently: 10 LG/MA, 6 other
ACC: 14 other, 4 LG/MA
I propose a trade: Vandy and SC for Clemson and NC State or VT.
