I’ve been Reading some of the other social media sites concerning HH, and i was a little surprised how many people despise him. I know he was recorded using racist remarks, but people are accusing him or being a rapist and a pedophile. First time I've heard any of this

Do you know if we can sue for breach on Boo and Colorado if this happens? I do not know how these contracts are written but it seems crazy to not have break of contract or other legal terms in them when we are speaking about hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Hating him has been a huge trend over the last years. The remarks were the catalyst. Then that grew into hating the wrestler, with the younger generation of wrestling fans working overtime to diminish what he meant to the business...which was everything.

As far as rape/pedophilia...the only thing I can think of there is, people are projecting Linda (ex-wife) onto him. After they divorced, at 48 years old, she started dating a 19 year old boy. I have heard/read people attribute that to him.

Me, too. "Hollywood" Hogan and the NWO is the reason Hogan is the GOAT, imo. It's him, with Austin right there, just under him. Then every single other wrestler beneath that.

With "Hollywood", that was the second time he changed the face of the business...Hulkamania being the first. No other wrestler has ever had two different kinds of impact like that, and in different decades at that. He was 43 years old whenever he turned heel. Then, at 49, had a THIRD rejuvenation (in yet another decade), back in the WWF, culminating at WM18. All of this is why I put him ahead of Stone Cold. Even Austin didn't have a run like that.

Although I liked "Hollywood" more, probably because I was older...Hulkamania is what i think of today.

There is zero point at going after a highly touted recruit when you know damn well you are going to go through this BS 1-2 years down the road. You are better off with the 3 star who hasn't surrounded himself with an inner circle of morons. It was different when the LOI was an air tight legal contract that actually meant something.

Not all top players are problems. You have to recruit the best talent. You’re lumping all players as having the same issues as Boo and that is not even remotely correct. GBO

Yeah, there's nothing remotely close to that in my post.

Before the portal and NIL era, you could prioritize talent way above all else, because players with questionable character would still be around for four years as long as you could keep them out of jail.

In this new era, talent matters less in the eval process because it really doesn't matter if you are going to have to re-recruit them to your school every second of every day. The five star player that leaves in a year is just a waste of money. That's all. The sentiment has nothing to do with choosing not to recruit talented players, all else being equal.

Probably because he campaigned for Trump (I know politics but that could be the, or at least a, reason)

They need to set the contracts up to where the players get paid a lump sum mid-season. Or half after the 1st game and the other half after the final game. Maybe they already do, i'm not sure, but that seems like it would cut the throat on a lot of this stuff. You wouldn't have to worry about them getting paid then taking off with next year's cash. They get nothing if they're not on the team for the 1st and last kick-off of the season.
