Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

Yep… hard to even know what kind of team you have till the season starts

Then you better hope the players that break camp are happy with their NIL deals and still want to play hard

Going to be hard to tell what’s real on the field this fall…
I still cannot ****ing believe the tits at ncaa okayed a summer porthole

I have a feeling the problems in college football will continue to get worse until they finally bite the bullet and make athletes employees and collectively bargain the whole thing. Short of that, what we have now isn't sustainable. You are going to have much less fan interest in teams that see the writing on the wall as far as how their schools stack up with the big spenders.

Colorado, Old Piss, and others with no moral compass will continue to chip away, tamper, and poach with impunity. no one, no one has any clout to stop them

I would like to get Heupel’s honest thought process by choosing to go into a season with only 7 scholarship receivers.
yeah i'm not sure. if you aren't going to go the high school ranks you gotta hit in the porthole. the Spring porthole didn't seem like a great place to find that dynamic guy.

it's definitely interesting. anyway, water under the bridge at this point.

Well, by the letter of the Supreme Court Opinion that established NIL you can't limit it in any kind of way so, they sort of let the cat out of the bag and there's no stuffing it back in. Even if they go collective bargaining there's no way to regulate 3rd party NIL deals.

The lack of any playmakers on offense on this team is mind numbing. Kid wants to go, let him go. But my goodness, going Winter, Spring, and now struggling to get offensive playmakers. Sorry not sorry, is a red flag on those offensive coaches. Huep is the man, but ... it is frustrating.

Maybe they can work it out with him, who
knows?
We have one decent receiver, and he’s a sophomore. QB has the reputation of being a turnover machine.

We have no right to be angry about being picked 10th in the SEC. It’s where we should be.

Yes both will be good, but we don't have any depth at the position. Boo is/was going to help us.

Anyway some key losses in big time recruiting battles in recent years is evidence. Yes we've had some wins, but those losses hurt also. Wingo, Tate and others. Having that key dynamic player like kid from Bama, still evades us.

Keys is that field stretching type talent. But even where we once led, that seems like is up in the air.

Also misses in winter and spring portal still mystify. We are razor thin, and have no experience.

We now have to prepare like Boo wont be here. Sucks was hoping to see him this season.

Anyway, seems kid has let himself and teammates down. Hope he grows up, for his sakes.
We literally did not have a starting QB during the spring portal
