Obviously we need to get better but its good to see us make this list again.

I've been really busy so I haven't had time to check in day to day. I wish I would have seen when this was posted. Thank you for sharing.

I can't overstate how huge this is that we are FINALLY on the Blue Chip Ratio. I've been following this trend/article since Bud Elliott started the idea in the early 2010s and finally published his theory, which has held true, since 2013.

We have never been on this list. To your point, it is definitely the first time we have been over 50% since the Fulmer era. Probably 2006 or 2007.

Our fans should be more aware of this and celebrate that we have made it this far. THIS is what FOUNDATION looks like. We haven't had foundation, nor DEPTH, in forever. It doesn't guarantee us anything for this year. But it is an indicator that the program is heading in the right direction. It takes multiple years of good recruiting, consistency, and culture to build a good roster.

Given this year's class, we are probably nearing 60%-65% by the time Faizon would start. It makes me excited for our continued success. When you get into 65%+ territory, a great QB can take you over the top. I feel that we are finally playing with the correct ingredients.

Again, not the be all end all, but it is a positive indicator that we are on the right track.

Great points. It's felt like a natural progression to me. could be better though.

Heup also didn't have the prestige to recruit at an elite elite level out of the gate.

Had restrictions until like now. Those 15 years made us like a Vandy in a lot of peoples eyes. One of the worst downfalls of a national power ever. Even Bama's dark period wasn't near as bad like the 05 Bama team won 10 games.

Really hope we can be the ones that cause them to fire Deboar thus pushing them into irrelevance 😇
our staff, our leadership, our fans, especially the players, everyone had to work very hard to change the perception of the program

it has been encouraging and mostly fun watching the entire program take those steps in the right direction.

We're not elite, though. That's the point, and the roster talent composition points to the reason why. To elevate Tennessee to Georgia and Ohio State level, Heupel has to keep stacking 10-win seasons, which in turns boosts recruiting, and then he has to start consistently landing top 10 classes with occasional top 5 classes. It's a process to get there and he's following the path to do it.

30 wins in three seasons and getting trounced first round of the 12-team playoff isn't top tier. It's good, and better than just about anyone expected in Jan. 2021, but it's not elite.

There is a top tier separate from us and it's teams that win national championships. We aren't there yet. There's a team in that tier that we haven't beaten in almost a decade. Getting there is insanely difficult, especially if you aren't in a super talent-rich state. Plenty of very good coaches get to good or even great but not elite.

That's why I'm saying 10-year rebuild. He's halfway there. The next five years is about taking the next step and maintaining it. It's a whole rebuild in and of itself.

I’ve been building this BCR chart for a few years now, and was able to correctly predict we’d cross 50% this year based on how last year’s class finished. With the new BCR numbers released yesterday, I’ve projected 2026 to hit around 59%.

I originally pulled the data using Python from the 247 Composite rankings going back to 2005, by adjusting the year in the URL (https://247sports.com/season/2025-football/compositeteamrankings/).

For each class, I counted the 4- and 5-star commits, then used a 4-year weighted average with typical roster turnover rates to estimate roster BCR.

I also scaled the numbers to match official BCR figures where available (2020, 2021, 2024, 2025).

Be cautious with anything before 2010 since the data gets a little fuzzy, but the trend since then is accurate.

TLDR: CJH is doing a damn good job recruiting, and right now it’s very likely the highest BCR we’ve had since the early 2000s.
this is awesome. solid contribution.

Ruck actually has a website and workouts that you can see/do. Our gym does the 1,000 box step up Hero workout “Chad” that you can use a ruck pack 20# for the ladies 35# for guys. We use kell bells or dumbbells.
My workouts are plenty tough. Just trying to add some productive cardio on the side/when walking the dogs

People tend to use their real name and don't hide behind a screen name on several social media platforms. If we say something stupid on here, and we all do at some point, we don't have to worry about it coming back to impact us or our family. There is a difference.

Weezer is my real name, and I never say anything stupid.

Exactly. If it ain't broke don't fix it. There are two ACDCs, Bon and post Bon. Ozzy and Sabbath are great too. Good, clean, wholesome heavy metal.
It's funny to me that heavy metal was berthed because of an unfortunate hand injury to Tommy Iommi. Sort of like Impressionism being created because artists copied Monet after he started going blind. Stuff like that is so funny to me. Happenstance having cultural impact.

This is barely social media. Probably by some technical definition it is, but there is no algorithm forcing content into your brain like the social media most people mean when they say it's bad.

And it's unlikely anyone knows who you actually are, making it not so great a platform for people to seek out influence and real life attention, which is the other thing people daybos bad about social media.
