What on earth happened to the Zac Brown Band? Their fall off needs to be studied, that new song they just released is garbage
Would be a short study. Ego out of control, drugs, strippers, hookers, family falls apart, so the studio steps in and tries to force some more albums but they lack the authenticity of the artist whose life and mind are now in pieces.

Pretty typical ultra famous person downfall.

Kind sad really. I’ve always like zbb, but this song and the last one they dropped just seems like AI wrote it and they’re trying too hard to be different

LOL...that may be a common story but that's not what's happening with Zac. I'm not super close to him, so I don't claim to know all his personal business, but I'm close enough that I could call him directly if I need to. He's a good guy, so no ego, drugs, hookers, etc going on. I would say his most recent music comes from zero studio pressure and him just writing stuff that connects with him personally and he's not trying to constantly write summer time country anthems.

I'll also add that I'm not a fan, so I'm not defending him because I just love his music. I only know a handful of his songs, I just happen to have a family connection to him.

Rome burns

During the early morning of July 19, 64 AD, fire broke out in the merchant area of the city of Rome. Fanned by summer winds, the flames quickly spread through the dry, wooden structures of the Imperial City. Soon the fire took on a life of its own consuming all in its path for six days and seven nights. When the conflagration finally ran its course it left seventy percent of the city in smoldering ruins.

Rumors soon arose accusing the Emperor Nero of ordering the torching of the city and standing on the summit of the Palatine playing his lyre as flames devoured the world around him. These rumors have never been confirmed. In fact, Nero rushed to Rome from his palace in Antium (Anzio) and ran about the city all that first night without his guards directing efforts to quell the blaze. But the rumors persisted and the Emperor looked for a scapegoat. He found it in the Christians, at that time a rather obscure religious sect with a small following in the city. To appease the masses, Nero literally had his victims fed to the lions during giant spectacles held in the city's remaining amphitheater.

From the ashes of the fire rose a more spectacular Rome. A city made of marble and stone with wide streets, pedestrian arcades and ample supplies of water to quell any future blaze. The debris from the fire was used to fill the malaria-ridden marshes that had plagued the city for generations.

Happy Saturday.

July 19, 2025: Spend time today worshipping your God and King. Refuse to allow the cares of the world to take precedence. Focus on things that are good and edifying, and be grateful. There are plenty of things to worry about because the world is unusually dark these days, but you are not of the world. Take your spiritual position in the kingdom of heaven, and glorify Him. 1 John 3:1 Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.

Gun to your head:

Zepp or Floyd?

And yes the ~new Zepp documentary inspired this post and discussion Vs Mrs Devo.
Zeppelin all day, Jimmy Paige is a goat. I do like Floyd more than I ever have now, but still Zeppelin by alot.........probably not a popular opinion, I know. For me Zeppelin is right behind Allman Bros and Alice in Chains on my top 5.

Pink Floyd (Division Bell 1994 in Miami) was the best concert (minus KISS) that I have ever seen............I gotta go Floyd!

Allman Bros at the Fox in Atlanta was unbelievable. To watch Dickie Betts playing Liz Reed with a budwieser bottle was awesome. I only wish I could seen Duane live. Does anyone have a pair of guitar greats as good as Dickie and Duane.
Also any Jimmy Buffett concert had a chance to be an all timer, if you like Buffett.
